I knew immediately that I had found my florist- and cancelled all other meetings! Jamie just ‘got’ my vision right away and I knew I was in good hands. I had a lot of compliments from our wedding guests but the number one thing I heard was “Your florist is amazing”. I STILL have flowers from my center pieces and bouquet all around my house to enjoy!

Whimsey florals made my ceremony and reception so beautiful!!!! I came in with an idea of what I wanted and she not only helped my vision come to life, but she made suggestions on how to enhance my ideas and make it ten times better. Working with Diane was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding. When we first met with Diane, she spent an ample amount of time going over details with us. We had tons of questions and she was extremely sweet, knowledgeable, and patient. We used Diane for the flowers for our arch. She was the most reasonably priced and the arch could not have been more beautiful. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what I asked for. She was the only vendor we used that was accommodating for everything we needed and actually pleasant to work with!

Diane was amazing!!! She was absolutely wonderful to work with and made sure everything was PERFECT for our wedding day. We planned our wedding from afar (which we were nervous about), but she made everything stress-free and easy! She was very responsive and answered any questions that we had. I can't say enough about Diane at Whimsey Florals. I knew from our first calls that she was listening carefully to my vision; she had such a deep knowledge of flowers. We went through Pinterest boards and she could name every stem. She gave great advice about what would be in season, what would stay hardy throughout the wedding day, how to meet our budget goals, and what to avoid. The terrariums she made for us were out of this world. Our guests could not stop commenting. I knew she'd "get it right," but I couldn't believe until I got to my venue how much she'd went above and beyond. I could look at the florals forever. My bouquet was perfect. I could not be happier. I found Diane through our wedding coordinator at The Crossings and all the flowers turned out absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day. She is one of their top recommended florists and for a good reason! Diane is amazing to work with. When I first met up with Diane, I had an idea of my colors and what type of floral arrangements I wanted/needed. I showed her my pinterest pins and she was able to build off my ideas and suggest flowers and plants that worked so well together. One of the best things about Diane for a bride that is on a budget is that she has beautiful centerpieces and decorations that you can rent -- and they aren't expensive at all! It made wedding planning so much easier not having to worry about buying additional decorations for my place card table, guest book table, gift table, or dessert table. AND she picks the rental pieces back up for you at the end of the night so that is another thing a busy bride doesn't need to worry about :) And of course the price! Diane produces AMAZING work for what she charges. She does not skimp at all. She went above and beyond what I requested and my wedding day turned out absolutely gorgeous because of her amazing floral arrangements. If you do go with Diane, please ask her about Heliotrope for Hospice. They are a company that recycles flowers from events and arranges them so that it is a nice surprise and delight for those at the Hospice. It's completely free and I couldn't think of a better way to brighten someone's day.

My husband and I had the pleasure of having Whimsey Florals and working with Diane for our wedding on August 25, 2018. Diane made the most beautiful cascading sparkle flowers for my bride bouquet and wedding arch flowers, and beautiful flowers for our wedding party and décor! My mom and I went to multiple florists, and specifically chose Diane due to her family atmosphere, warm welcome, and high level of attention to details. Diane spent ample time with my mom and I, as well as another appointment with my husband and I, to address all of our questions and requests, and was so patient and compassionate. Diane communicated all details, addressed everything as promised and on time, and was also friendly, positive, and made a beautiful assembly for our wedding! Diane and Whimsey Florals gained our trust from the beginning. Diane also had the most creativity to our fairytale theme, twinkle lights, and cascading flowers! If you are looking for a florist that will bring your vision to life, I highly, highly recommend contacting Whimsey Florals. My fiancé and I live out of the country and we contacted several florists in San Diego (where the wedding was) for quotes and just to get a general sense of their work. Diane and her daughter from Whimsey Floral were AMAZING! Diane responded instantly to my inquiries and started planning. Diane was willing to work with me via email which was so appreciated and helpful. The day of the big day (9/14/18), Diane and her daughter absolutely nailed the wedding florals. I was absolutely amazed and how detail oriented they were and how beautiful everything turned out. So to the Whimsey Florals team, thank you. Diane has an amazing ability to listen to you describe your dream wedding and then make all of your dreams come true! She is fabulous! I can't say this enough, she was our FAVORITE vendor by far. After our first meeting, I was struck by how she understood exactly what I wanted with only a few photos that I described as "I kindof want this, but not really that" and a brief conversation about my preferences. We worked with Diane and Whimsey Florals for our wedding in March and she was incredible! She really took the time to explain the different types of flowers and knew which ones would be in season during our wedding. Diane was an absolute dream florist for my wedding on 7/30/17. She was recommended to us by our venue, and we were thrilled with her work! We met with her in person to discuss options, pricing, etc., and Diane was super knowledgeable about flowers that would work within our budget and would give us the earthy, natural look we were going for at our wedding. She was also way better priced than any other quote I received. When it came to the actual wedding day, her florals took my breath away!! I absolutely LOVED my flowers and centerpieces from Whimsey Florals. Wow did Diane and team do such an amazing job. The corsages and boutonnieres were elegant, the bridesmaid’s bouquets were absolutely gorgeous, my bouquet was so beautiful, the ceremony flowers were perfect and the reception was just gorgeous. Whimsey was recommended to us by my day-of coordinator who has worked with them many times. Upon meeting Diane at her beautiful home I knew she was the one who could make my day look beautiful. I definitely had a budget and she was able to work within it and offer suggestions. Never once did she try to make me spend extra money. My wedding was a little difficult because I had a mixed gender bridal party. Through great communication we got all the ribbon colors, bouquets and boutonnière's to coordinate and create a seamless flow. I used colors and photos to give her the theme I was looking for and she matched it. My bouquet came out beautiful along with the eleven centerpieces around lanterns, flowers on all cocktail tables, two boxes of babies breath for my place cards and more. At this age, my friends and I have been in A LOT of weddings. One of my bridesmaids said "These are by far the prettiest flowers I have seen of any wedding I have been in." On the day of, Jamie, Diane's daughter delivered the bouts and bouquets to my hotel and set-up the entire venue. They also left fresh flowers for my cake lady. Whimsey was affordable and made my wedding exactly what I had envisioned. I have learned that the flowers are one of the most important pieces of the wedding.

I'm gonna start by saying that when Diane dropped off my bouquet at the hotel, I was speechless! It was exactly what I wanted, but even more beautiful than I could have imagined. The first time I met with Diane I really didn't know much about flowers, I showed her some pictures and she kept suggesting flowers and I had to look them up online to see what they looked like, but somehow she just got my vision. She is very sweet and pleasant to work with and always quick to respond to emails. The day of the wedding, once I got to the venue and saw all the flowers I was just amazed! They looked just breathtaking and beautiful. She exceeded my expectations, and I feel so lucky that Diane was part of my wedding day.

Diane is amazing! We live in Arizona and planned our wedding in La Jolla. Diane made it so easy to plan everything out of state. Our flowers and centerpieces were beautiful and exactly what I had pictured. Couldn't have asked for more.

Diane was amazing! When we met with Diane, I had very little idea as to what I wanted for flowers. I had some pictures but still wasn't sure. When the flowers were delivered they were everything I wanted but couldn't describe! The bouquets were perfect. Throughout the whole process Diane was professional and her prices were fair and affordable. We kept changing the number of flowers that would be needed for grandparents and Diane remained helpful and flexible. I would highly recommend Whimsey Florals. Thank you!!

My husband and I hired Whimsey Florals for our wedding at La Valencia in La Jolla. Diane was very friendly and personable in all the meetings and email exchanges we had prior to the wedding. Overall the flowers and center pieces looked good, but the tall mercury glass candlesticks we asked for were replaced by clear glass candlesticks and the center pieces had more foliage than agreed upon. The table arrangements we ended up with neither matched inspiration photos we showed her nor what we discussed at our final meeting. After the wedding Diane apologized at first but then moved on to explain to us why she thought the mercury glass may have overpowered the table arrangements, and that we wanted “more garden style” center pieces. We wish either us or our wedding coordinator would have been consulted regarding the clear glass candlesticks and center pieces, and were not pleased with Diane’s repeated attempts to justify her choices.

We were referred to Diane at Whimsey Florals by our photographers. We had two meetings, one back in January and another in July, and ironed everything out very easily! Diane was great, and our flowers were STUNNING. Even my tough ex-police officer uncle could not stop talking about the flowers :) We did try to donate all of them to hospice charity, but we could not find an org who would pick them up over the holiday weekend.... so they are ALL currently in my house, broken up into every vase I own and literally just EVERYWHERE. We did not have the heart to throw them away! Here's hoping they live all week :)

Our entire experience with Whimsey Florals was amazing! Diane worked with us to capture our design style while remaining within our tight budget. Our bouquets and boutonnieres were great, but our center pieces stole the show. They completely transformed our reception and we received numerous compliments throughout the evening. Diane was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. When we met with her in her home, she was able to offer her ideas and inspiration for our overall vision and requests. All through the process, we provided her with concrete requests, and not only did she welcome our input, she took our requests and combined them with her eye for design along with her expertise, and thanks to her, our wedding was absolutely beautiful. Everything was perfect. All of our guests keep complimenting the reception decorations. Diane was easy to work with and responsive, and she helped keep things within a relatively low budget by incorporating less expensive elements and flowers. We give her the highest recommendations and would not hesitate to use Whimsey Florals again. When I first saw our reception venue, decorated in her arrangements and design elements, it literally took my breath away. Diane is the best!

Diane did a great job of providing the flowers and the table decorations for our daughter's wedding at the Darlington House. She was able to visualize our daughter's preferences and come up with table arrangements that were tasteful and non-obtrusive to the guests. Small touches like the sprig of lavender on the napkins made a huge different in the display without a huge hit to the budget. I would highly recommend Diane for anyone planning a special event.

I would highly recommend Diane as your wedding florist. She is great to work with and a great designer. I met with her multiple times before my wedding to discuss flower options. What I liked about Diane is that she listens to you and tries to deliver your vision. She is accommodating and pleasant to work with. My Centerpieces looked gorgeous and wowed everyone at my wedding. I'm very pleased with Diane's work. I also like to add that I had a change in my wedding timeline and I called Diane a few days before the wedding to talk to her about the change. Diane noticed that I was stressed out and assured me that she would stay later to move the flowers and told me not to worry about anything. That was such a big relief for me. She is amazing.

Communicating was difficult, I often would not get my questions answered directly. I ordered a mock up of our centerpiece and what I received was not at all was we had talked about and what she had quoted me for. I told her I didn't like it and reiterated that I wanted what we had talked about and had listed on the quote. She made me pay for another mock up that was better but still not exactly what we had talked about and she admitted to using week old flowers (and they looked it). Because of this I was unsure if she really understood the overall look that I was wanting. I would email or text her with pictures of flowers that I liked and wouldn't hear back from her. 2 weeks before the wedding, I had to send her the final payment and we were emailing back and forth regarding the final payment amount and clarifying which flowers I wanted. She suddenly stopped responding and didn't accept the final payment that I sent. The following week she finally responded saying that she was out of town visiting family; it would have been nice if she would have just told me that the day we were emailing back and forth instead of leaving me to worry if I was going to have flowers at all. In the end, the floral arrangements ended up being what I wanted and beautiful. There were a few small issues with drooping flowers/leaves. My bouquet had dusty miller in it and one of the bunches was just limp and hanging off the side. I just adjusted the way I held the bouquet and ignored it. Other than that, all the flowers were very fresh and lively.

We found Diane through our wedding planner and could not have been happier with her service. I gave Diane a lot of freedom to come up with a unique look for our under-the-sea themed wedding, and what she created exceeded our expectations! I just kept saying I want lots of texture, and didn't care so much about the colors. I didn't give her too much direction. I just wanted the flowers and centerpieces to really look like plants you would find on the ocean floor, and Diane really went above and beyond my vision. She picked the perfect combo of flowers, succulents, thistles and orchids. We got so many compliments on the flowers and the centerpieces, which really looked like undersea coral and plants! The flowers really made the entire theme come to life. On the wedding day, 1 of the boutounnieres was missing and Diane whipped up a perfect extra on the spot! Diane really has a talent and we were thrilled with the final result. She is also a courteous, punctual, and friendly businesswoman, and I trusted her to come through on our big day.

Diane was just incredible. She took my 2 or 3 inspiration photos and created a gorgeous vision. I had no idea what flowers I wanted, or what arrangements, just that I wanted pink and soft and gorgeous. She delivered above and beyond! The meeting with her covered so many things I wouldn't have thought of. Diane was there on time on my wedding day, set everything up so it looked flawless, and even though I only saw her for a moment, she had everyone ready with their flowers! I just couldn't stop staring at my bouquet, it was so beautiful! The flowers live on in the photos, they look fantastic! She was also very conscious of budget. We hired Whimsey Florals for our wedding that took place on 05/04/13. Our first meeting with Diane was great she had good ideas and worked well with us. She was always prompt in responding to our emails when we had questions. The important part: The flowers looked great, we couldn't have been happier with our center pieces and the bouquets. Diane was a pleasure to work with while we were picking out our wedding flowers. She was very patient with me, and even took me to a local flower market so I could get a better idea of flowers for my big day. The end result of her work was SO beautiful! Dont let the fact that Diane works out of her home fool you--She really knows what she is doing! And she doesnt have the overhead of a shop so she passes the savings on to you!! I had no idea about flowers when I first met with her. I told her the colors that i liked and she explained and showed all types of flowers that would be available during my wedding season. She worked extremely well in my budget(just over $1000). We knew flowers were a place we wanted to save money on and she understood that. She didnt try to oversell us on centerpieces we didnt want or need. She came up with different creative, and less expensive means of decorating. But when she did make florals arrangements, ie the bouquet, they were gorgeous! On the wedding day she uses an assistant to help her deliver the fresh flowers. I have recommended her to a colleague who is getting married soon and she was shocked at how much cheaper the invoice was from Whimsey Florals than other vendors for the same items! She is going with Diane too!!

I found Diane through a wedding website. From the moment I met her I knew she would be perfect for my wedding, so many florists never called me back or had no vision. She had amazing ideas and created the perfect bouquet for my Matron of Honor. I knew what I wanted for myself,(dark purple calla lilies) so that was easy and my bouquet was gorgeous. As I was on a limited budget for flowers, she created different ideas for me to make my wedding and the reception classy and elegant. I couldn't be more pleased with her. She is a must use florist! Diane from Whimsey Florals is absolutely wonderful to work with. We met once about a year before my wedding to discuss ideas, and then about two months before the big day- by then I had changed a lot of what I wanted and Diane took it all in with not even a raised eyebrow! I could not believe how amazing out ceremony site, cocktail hour and reception looked once Diane finished with it- she truly pays attention to every little detail to make your day absolutely stunning!

My wedding planner recomended Whimsey Florals based on the stsyle I wanted. I asked for very colorful, fun, very whimsical floral designs and that is exactly what I got. It was better than I ever imagined. Diane really listened to what I described and came through in an unbelievable manner. For my Jr. bridesmaids and flower girl, I asked for fun, colorful flower wands with ribbon streaming from them - they were so adoeable and beautiful. They girls absolutely loved them and everyone htought it was such a cute alternative to a regular bouquet. I can't say enough nice things about Diane and Whimsey Florals. Her prices are very fair too and she works hard to stay within your budget. If you are still looking for a florist, try out Whimsey. You will love it!

Diane and Jaime turned my wedding into an enchanted fall day with the most beautiful and creative centerpieces - they were better than I could have ever imagined. They worked within my budget and were really great at tying all of the details of the wedding together with the arrangements and bouquets. They are the most fun people to work with and their creativity is astounding. They made everything so easy and stress free - a wonderful experience.

I was looking not to overspend on my flowers and Diane really took her step to help me with that by reusing the flowers from the ceremony at the reception. My aunt was offering to make my bridal party flowers and Diane was nice enough to get me those flowers in wholesale price from the flower mart. I could not thank her enough for that. She is very talented and I was really happy with all the masterpieces that she made. Great price and great quality of service!

Diane was amazing, she did everything i wanted and more. She even took me to the flower mart to look at various flowers i would like to use at the wedding. The flowers came out great and I couldnt have been more happy. She did a great job with the ceremony florals as well, making a piece for my arch and fiding ways to reuse them at the reception. She exceeded my expectations and was very nice thru the whole process.

Diane did a really great job on our wedding. My budget was $1000 and she was really flexible and worked with me. A lot of the items I used were rented from her (glass candle holders, manzanita trees, willow branches, etc) and the cost of those must have counted in the $1000, I think. Either way, she did a great job and her attention to detail really shows in her work. I'm glad we went with Whimsey Florals.

I had the best experience with my wedding florists. They are a mother and daughter team that are always looking for something creative and different to do. They actually care about what you want and your budget and will share their ideas if you want them to. I gave them a general idea of what I was looking for and they came back with several options within my style preference and budget. I was sooo happy with the final result that I remember focusing on the flowers much more than I thought I would! The flowers even lasted about a full week from the wedding so I was able to enjoy them for a long time. They have experience in all venue styles, sizes and budgets so it was nice that they were able to bring a realistic perspective to what I was looking for. They are based out of San Diego and will generally travel within Southern California. They are personable yet professional throughout the process and I would recommend them to anyone! btw - I selected not applicable on the cost selection as it will obviously vary by wedding or event, but as I mentioned they were very good about understanding my budget and sticking with it!

Diane the owner of Whimsey florals and her daughter were awesome from the initial meeting! My husband and I know nothing about flowers except that they're pretty to look at and Diane walked us through everything and suggested amazing flowers. The initial estimate and the final amour owed were about $500 different but I would gladly pay it again! The flowers turned out amazing...from the ceremony to the reception and centerpieces couldn't have been better!!
