We had a great wedding this month, all thanks to Cathy and Terri. Cathy has been very communicative and very helpful with the planning since day one. The venue was great and the guests love the food. Terri was very attentive and making sure whether there is anything that we need on the wedding day itself. The cake was delicious and it is included in the package which is a plus. My husband and I would love to come back here again if we decide to host an event in the future.

Our experience with William Penn Inn could not have been better! Cathy is so nice and detail oriented. She really knows what she is doing! From the moment we booked I never had a second thought if we made the right choice. I would make this decision over and over! The food is delicious (the mashed potatoes IYKYK) and they have a ton of options depending on restrictions. The food was so good we even had our rehearsal there too.

The William Penn Inn was an amazing rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception venue. The entire day went smoothly, the day of coordinator was amazing, and they were so easy to work with during the planning process. Would 10/10 recommend this venue to anyone.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at the William Penn Inn with about 70 people and it was wonderful. The grounds are beautiful, the food was amazing and the staff was great. We had an open bar for the 2 hour event, a plated salad and a dinner buffet. On the table were rolls and butter that were great. We had family members make speeches and there was a podium and microphone for that. It was a great event!

My husband and I got married here June 10th, 2022 and I wish we could go back and do it all over again. Darlene always answered my emails right away and never made my questions feel irrelevant. The big day was perfect and the staff is part of the reason why they day was so perfect. They went above and beyond and made the day run smooth. Also the venue is beautiful and our guests can't stop talking about it!

Words cannot explain how special our wedding day felt at the William Penn Inn! My husband and I felt well-taken care of since the first time we toured the venue. Darlene Schneider was an amazing coordinator. She took the time to ensure we had all that we needed and that everything was set for us. I appreciated how organized, calming, and in control she was. I knew she had our back if we needed anything throughout the whole experience and our wedding day! Our ceremony was beautiful in Penn's Garden. Food during cocktail hour and the reception was AMAZING! Hors d'oeuvres were prepared perfectly. Dinners came out hot, plated to perfection, and delicious! The banquet staff was professional and hospitable. They were always looking out for us and making sure our guests were happy! Thank you again to Darlene and the William Penn Inn team! I'll be recommending this venue over and over again to future brides and grooms!

Shane and I can never thank Darlene and the rest of the William Penn Inn team enough for making our wedding day absolutely a dream come true. Our original date was for September 2020 and with the pandemic we decided to postpone. WPI was on board with the date change and completely understanding. Darlene was great to work with throughout the planning process and the crazy questions I threw at her. She even helped me through some troubleshooting with other vendors when we postponed. The day of went really well and Darlene was there bright and early with us all the way through to cleaning the bridal suite during the ceremony. Her and Ally were truly amazing and are the best at making couples feel like guests at their own wedding. All of our guests were wowed by the whole evening from the food to the service that was provided. Everyone had an amazing time!Thank you thank you thank you all!

We can’t even begin to explain our wonderful experience that we had with the William Penn Inn and Darlene while planning our wedding. We started in March 2020 and Darlene kept contact with us throughout the entire pandemic. She gave us options when Pennsylvania changed their restrictions, and she always kept us in the know. In June 2021, our wedding was perfect! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how smooth everything went and how delicious the food was! We highly recommend the William Penn Inn and Darlene for your wedding. We had the perfect day!

We've had many events at the William Penn Inn including my daughter's wedding 7 years ago. We booked our son's rehearsal dinner and as always the food is amazing, the atmosphere is lovely, beautifully decorated servers are very attentive and the banquet staff is amazing to work with.

Our experience with the William Penn Inn was truly amazing. We had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021 due to covid and the team was so accommodating, allowing us to postpone without an issue, keeping us up to date with different covid requirements, and providing an incredibly personal level of support. Leading up to our wedding, the staff was organized, professional, and provided genuine advice when needed. Darlene, the head wedding coordinator is amazing and a true professional! The day of, every staff member was so personable and showed genuine excitement for us and our marriage, something I wasn’t expecting since they host so many weddings! The garden is kept in tip-top shape and the food was to die for. I cannot thank the team enough!

Our reception at the William Penn Inn was nothing short of amazing. We would select this venue over and over again. You will not be disappointed, in fact, all of your expectations will be exceeded. Darlene (one of the planners) is the best! Informative, thorough, detail-oriented, easy to work with, quick to respond, and most importantly – kind and patient with all of your questions and planning every detail of your day. David (day-of attendant to us at the reception) was so calm, collected, and very attentive towards us during the entire reception. We have received so many compliments from all of our guests about how absolutely delicious all of the food was - cocktail hour, dinner, dessert (everything!) To this day, we are still getting texts from people about how outstanding everything tasted. The night was perfect - everything we dreamed of and more. The food was outstanding, the service was top-notch, and both rooms are beautiful. The building has its own unique and special classic charm that no other venues come close to. We are so grateful that we selected such an impeccable place of business (which the William Penn Inn TRULY is, on so many levels). The entire banquet team is fantastic, they genuinely CARE about making your day so special, and we just feel very blessed. The night was spectacular for us and our guests. We could go on and on. Beautiful venue!! We had a day wedding and it was just perfect! The garden area was perfect for a summer wedding with beautiful background for pictures. The ballroom is simple and elegant! The food is amazing! Besides how beautiful the venue is the staff was extremely helpful! It was so nice to know that everything was taken care of on our special day. All we had to do was show up! We brought our own centerpieces and the event coordinator had it all placed on the tables perfectly!! This is an amazing venue and I cannot rave enough about how great our day was and how smooth everything went! Would definitely recommend!!

We got married in May 2021. Darlene was the best event coordinator we could have ever imagined especially during a pandemic. She worked with us every step of the way to ensure our wedding would be exactly what we imagined. Could not give a better review of the staff, food, and accommodations. Thank you WPI

My husband and I are so thankful we chose the William Penn Inn for our wedding. They were amazing throughout the whole process, especially when we had to postpone due to COVID. Cathy was fantastic to work with during planning and was so easy to communicate with. Day of, we worked with Karen, who made sure my husband and I were taken care of the whole night. Our wedding day seemed to run flawlessly from our end. We did not need to set up or take down anything. Everything was taken care of by the WPI. We brought our own champagne glasses and cake knife, which were engraved with our names and the WPI made sure to clean them and have them ready for us to take at the end of the night. The food was AMAZING! We have received so many compliments about the food! Overall, the day was a dream and we could not be happier with our experience at the William Penn Inn!

First off Darlene was amazing and helped me from start to finish from moving our date due to covid and then having to cut down our guest list! Then the day came and both Darlene and Karen made sure everything was just how we pictured our day would be. Working with Kate and the floral team at the William Penn Inn (Flower Shoppe) was such a highlight of planning my 2020 microwedding. I am so grateful my wedding planner let me know that the William Penn Inn's floral team can also handle florals for outside events not held at the inn. Kate went above and beyond what her job description requires, even meeting me at my venue to survey the space to better put together a plan and quote for our wedding. We met again in person a month before the wedding, where Kate showed me samples of what my flowers would look like, including a bouquet, centerpieces and decor. I was truly blown away by the time and effort she put in before our wedding even happened to make sure the day itself would be beautiful.  I was also impressed by the William Penn Inn Flower Shoppe's competitive pricing -- I did a lot of florist research before choosing Kate and her team, and while of course, their talent won me over, price played a big role too. I found the prices to be extremely fair, and Kate was happy to work within our set budget. When the pandemic changed our wedding plans, Kate jumped into action to create a smaller package that still helped bring my vision for the day to life. The day of the wedding Kate's team assembled our floral arch, greenery and candles flawlessly. My bouquet was beautiful, as were the flowers for other members of the bridal party. We can't wait to work with Kate and the William Penn Inn Flower Shoppe team again next year for our vow renewal and reception.

The WPI is honestly the best thing to happen to my COVID-19 wedding. When I tell you they did literally anything and everything to make my wedding dreams come true I mean it! They went from hosting my formal wedding to a customized Micro Wedding and worked tirelessly to make us happy. Darlene is one of the most wonderful people I have ever met and I am forever grateful for her. Kathy helped us run the show on wedding day and she truly hustled all day to make sure everything was perfect. We cannot thank the both of you and your entire team enough for everything that you have done for Joe and I. We will recommend WP Kate, you are a floral Guru! You make the most stunning floral displays. I absolutely love my red roses bouquet. You knew exactly what style I wanted and captured it in every way. Thank you so much for working with me to make my wedding so beautiful!

Honestly I have way too many great things to say about the team at the William Penn Inn. Between Darlene, Cathy, and Kate, we felt so taken care of through out our wedding planning process. What’s great about them is they have their own catering (with delicious food), bake shop, florist, and take care of your every need! I live out of state, and it was such a relief to know that things were being handled well. Special shoutout to Kate, their in-house Florist, for being incredible, supportive (not just with flowers) and bringing exactly what I want to reality. I really recommend them for your upcoming wedding. The Carriage ballroom is beautiful with the big chandelier. We love them!!

I went back and forth about writing this review for months. The venue is unbelievably beautiful. Kate, the florist did such an amazing job, I couldn’t have adored my flowers more. The rest of our experience was subpar, at best. Our tasting was a nightmare. I think we may have fallen through the cracks because we started with one coordinator who moved onto a new position, so we were assigned a new coordinator half way through planning. I never would have blinked an eye at the transition, except our new coordinator just never seemed to be on the same page as us. Our contract was sent to us 4 times, as we worked out the kinks- all 4 times I asked for Chardonnay to be changed to Pinot Grigio for the passing of wine during dinner. Each time I was reassured it was changed. I sat down at our head table to be presented with Chardonnay. We were discouraged multiple times to have an additional bar, even after explaining our 250 guest list & how much they love a good ol’ open bar. They closed BOTH bars for 30 minutes before the bridal party entrance, despite that never being stated in the contract. If you’re paying for a 5 hour open bar, you expect 5 hours, not 4.5 hours. I understand they were trying to urge people to sit, but they didn’t take into account how that would result in people crowding at the bar as soon as the only bar opened in the reception area? Almost seems like if we had the extra bar in the hallway like we asked for, it would have remedied the situation. My husband actually handed the bartender $100 to have him open the bar, because 5 different guests came up to us and told us the bar was closed. At the end of the night my father’s girl friend asked for cake to be wrapped up, (she wanted to make sure we had cake to freeze for our 1 year anniversary) and she was told no. “We don’t do that.” Thankfully, once my dad asked they provided him with the cake. Amazing what pull you have when you’re recognized as one of the people contributing to the bill. Most of all, I find it to be mind boggling that you work with a coordinator to plan your entire day & they aren’t present on your wedding day. Believe me, my wedding day was unforgettable & beautiful- I just wasn’t overly thrilled with the service through out the entire planning process. I felt like I was constantly being blown off. After reading all of the other reviews, I think I may have fallen through the cracks, but when it’s your wedding day & you’re spending the money you are, there shouldn’t be a crack to fall through.

We got married on January 4 at the William Penn Inn and it was the most amazing experience. When we got engaged, I knew I wanted a winter wedding, but wasn't too sure where. My mom made up a list of places to visit and as soon as I saw the winter decor at the William Penn Inn, I knew I HAD to get married there. It was easily the best decision we made because all of our guests are still talking about how beautiful and different the venue was. Cathy was our point of contact and was so responsive to my millions of emails. She had great suggestions for us. Kate in the floral department has such an infectious personality that made us excited about the flowers and decor for the day of. Liz was our day of coordinator and she was amazing. We were on time for our timeline the whole night -- it was amazing! As soon as we got there, we never had to worry about anything, which was the most amazing part of the whole night. We ended our wedding with the Philadelphia station and to say that was a hit is an understatement! Thank you to everyone at the William Penn Inn for making our wedding a truly remarkable night!

We had the best experience at the William Penn Inn for our wedding! From the initial meetings to the final, each and every employee went above and beyond for us. Darlene was so accommodating and took our vision and turned it into a reality. She spoke to us every step of the way (even the night before when we were unsure to have our cocktail hour inside or outdoor.) Kate from the flower dept. was amazing and is SO talented. Not only did she assist with the flowers but also with decorating the venue the day of. We still stay in touch with her to this day! All of the major items are included at this venue so you didn't have to lift a finger. Carin was our day of coordinator and made sure my husband and I ate and always had a filled drink. The venue is beautiful, food is incredible and the staff truly understands how special this day is for the bride and groom. I would recommend this venue to anyone!

Can't say enough good things about the William Penn Inn! While they may be on the pricier end of the "affordable" range for venues, everything is included - drinks, open bar, food, cake, etc - which was a huge relief for everyone involved because it was one less thing to worry about. Cathy and her staff were attentive, always reached out and responded via email in a timely fashion, and even checked in during the night of to get us (bride & groom) drinks and other requests. Our guests also remarked how delicious the food was (which is the ultimate reason why we chose this for our venue) and how beautiful the reception space was. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough about the William Penn Inn! They were fabulous to deal with! From every little detail to making me relaxed about my big day, they were just amazing from start to finish. My guests were raving about the food and overall experience at our wedding! And the best part is their pricing is very fair and reasonable and the value you get is tremendous. Darlene was my planner and she was AMAZING!! So detail oriented, kind and thorough. I didn’t have one ounce of worry. She was always very responsive to questions I had and so knowledgeable. I can’t say enough about how great she was. Kate in the floral department was equally amazing!!!! My flowers was stunning and people were literally fighting over taking the centerpieces home because of how beautiful she made them! The place looked like a dream and she met every part of the vision I had for my wedding day! Caryn and the entire staff the night of the wedding was superb. Super professional and fun! They were very accommodating to all of my guests. Caryn was so attentive to my husband and myself and made sure everything went smoothly! I know this review must sound too good to be true, but I can’t stress enough how amazing this entire experience was. The William Penn Inn is truly a first class wedding venue with a fantastic staff!! We could not be more pleased with our decision to choose the William Penn Inn as our venue to celebrate our marriage. The WPI is a well-oiled machine. From start to finish, every detail, big and small was perfect. They made wedding planning as painless as possible. We could not have envisioned a more perfect day. They exceeded our expectations. It's a one-stop shop. Your venue, bakery, and flowers all from one place. They work together flawlessly and produce nothing less than the best. I would recommend WPI a million times over.

Where do I begin, the moment I stepped foot in the Penn's Garden at William Penn Inn last September I fell in love, I KNEW this was the place I had to get married. Unfortunately, my first visit I only could see the garden due to events going on, but I still knew this was the place. A few days later my fiance and mother loved William Penn Inn as much as I did. Everything was so reasonable, they definitely worked with our budget which was another selling point for us ontop of the venues beauty. Now the staff!!! Darlene joined the team mid planning for my wedding and she is absolutely amazing. She always had a prompt response from my emails and handled my overly organized planning with a smile, no matter how neurotic I got. Rehearsal night Sue was awesome, guided everyone and gave the directions. Day of the wedding while everyone was taking their seats in the garden Sue showed me our reception room and everything was perfect! The wait staff was so friendly, the day of the wedding they all made sure that my groom and myself were fed and had drinks in our hands. The food was amazing. My husband and I are looking forward to celebrating our anniversary every year. We cannot say enough great things about William Penn Inn. Seriously as you start your planning process go check it out, you wont regret it, I promise you!!!

I simply cannot say enough kind words about our wedding experience at The William Penn Inn in September. My husband and I were blown away with the level of professionalism and service we were provided with during the entire wedding planning process and day of. Cathy, Caryn (the day-of-coordinator), and Kate from the floral shop made sure that our vision was brought to light and that every aspect of our wedding was perfect. Every last detail was more than we could have ever imagined, and people are still raving about the food! Thank you, William Penn Inn for an experience we will never forget!

My husband and I got married in late September (technically late summer but in my heart it's early fall), and we had the most beautiful ceremony and reception. Everyone at the Inn was so helpful and so easy to work with (particular thanks and kudos to Cathy, Darlene and Caryn, as well as Kate in the WPI Flower Shop), even when our guest numbers changed at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. I will never forget how perfect everything was. They made everything so easy for us, including letting us drop off our extras (ceremony sign, signature drink sign, sweetheart table decorations, etc.) early and then setting everything up for else. Plus, having the flower shop, bakery and restaurant in house was so convenient. I had the most beautiful flowers and cake, not to mention how delicious our cake and dinner was! I am getting hungry again just thinking about my crab cakes, wedding cake, and those caprese skewers at the cocktail hour. Plus, my guests LOVED the mac & cheese bar and crepe stand that we decided to get as add-ons. We could not have asked for a better night nor better weather. Of course, the William Penn Inn doesn't control the weather but they might as well have given how well everything all fit together. Thank you!!

We knew from past experiences that we were in good hands when we booked our wedding at the William Penn Inn but everyone really went above and beyond our expectations and we are so grateful! Our wedding day at the William Penn Inn was absolutely perfect, down to the smallest detail! We first met with Caryn when we got engaged and she did a wonderful job explaining the package and walking us through everything that was included. Our food tasting was probably our favorite part of the wedding planning process! The food was absolutely amazing. Cathy and Darlene were great in answering all of our questions during the entire wedding process. Kate did an absolutely amazing job with all of the flowers! All of the bridal bouquets and boutineers arrived at the house even earlier than we requested which immediately put us at ease. The bouquets and all of the centerpieces were absolutely breathtaking and were exactly what we envisioned! The bouquets looked stunning against the royal blue bridesmaid dresses and my wedding gown! We always pictured an outdoor wedding in the Penn’s Gardens and were temporarily disappointed when we chose to move it into the ballroom due to rainy weather; however, we had the opportunity to see the ballroom set up with all of the draping and flowers before the ceremony and it was absolutely perfect! The flowers and chandeliers made the room look so elegant. The bakery department did a phenomenal job on our wedding cake! It looked so beautiful and tasted amazing!!! The staff at William Penn is awesome! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating during the entire process. Our event manager, Robin, did a wonderful job at both the rehearsal dinner and wedding. She checked in with us often to make sure we had everything we needed and was just so pleasant to be around! Her staff was also wonderful. I know there was another event in the ballroom in the afternoon and it was a tight turnaround, especially since we moved the ceremony inside but they did such a great job and were so friendly and responsive to our guests. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives and we’re so happy that we chose the William Penn Inn for our venue!

Though she is no longer working at William Penn Inn, Monica really made this experience for us! She took us all the way to about a month from our wedding before stepping away to another opportunity. We missed her dearly, especially given that there were a few hiccups that we're pretty confident would not have happened had she been there (to include our cake being a bright teal-ish color rather than the steel blue it was meant to be). All in all, we had a beautiful day and the venue and food were fantastic!

Little did we know the William Penn Inn Floral Shop provides flowers for events outside of their own venue. If you are looking beautiful flowers for a wedding, contact them! To Kate and her team- thank you so very much for the beautiful flowers for our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding this past weekend! The arrangements were gorgeous! I can’t even tell you how many people asked me who the florist was. We really appreciate the detail they put into it and the customer service approach to their work. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an event florist!

We had our wedding at the William Penn Inn on 8.17.19. We had eaten at the restaurant many times before but once we walked in for our tour of the venue, I knew I wanted to get married there. It is so beautiful that I never want to leave. Caryn and Cathy really helped to make the process seamless. Kate did our flowers and they also provided the cake as well. I didn't feel stressed at all when it came to planning with the William Penn Inn. On the day of they set everything up beautifully and it was the most perfect day. And of course the food is delicious!!

The William Penn Inn was an excellent choice for our wedding venue. We had both our ceremony and reception there and everything was absolutely perfect. Caryn was our contact up to and including the day of the wedding, and she was always very friendly, professional, and happy to answer any and all questions we had. On the day of the wedding, she checked in several times to make sure we were happy with everything. A huge plus of the William Penn Inn for us was that they have on-site floral and bake shops, so we didn't have to hire a separate florist and bakery. It really took the stress out of planning the wedding. Oh, and the food is really fantastic - we had many guests compliment us on that as well!

The William Penn Inn was everything and more. Their service leading up to the event was very helpful and filled with quick responses to any questions I had. Day of, they were spot on with everything. They even brought cocktail hour food to where we were having our photos taken because I was having trouble with the heat-just above and beyond. The food was amazing, the cake was beautiful, the room was just perfect. I’m almost running out of adjectives to describe how happy this place made me! All in all, this was the biggest party we’ll every throw and with the WPI’s help I would say it was damn near perfect. Thank you WPI for everything!!

I had to plan my wedding from overseas, the William Penn Inn made that all possible! the staff were so personal and professional. they worked with me, walked me through everything I needed and everything went off without a hitch! the food was amazing and everything was so well organized and beautiful!

We got married at William Penn Inn last weekend and it was fantastic. The staff made the whole process seamless from when we booked the venue in January until the wedding in July. They were prompt on responding to questions and they have so many weddings there, they have it down to a science. While we were in the planning process, our wedding coordinator needed to switch us to another coordinator and it was very easy and no detail was lost in the transition. The day of the wedding, they were great at organizing everything, but also staying "behind the scenes". The wait staff/bartenders/coordinators were all great. Also, the food is fantastic. The guests were raving about the beautiful venue and how the food was delicious! They truly know how to throw a fun party, and I'd recommend them to any of my friends or family! The William Penn Inn Floral Shoppe is also a great addition to the services they offer at William Penn Inn. It's an in-house florist who is fantastic! Kate really listens to what you want and after showing her a few photos from Pinterest, she made up a mock bouquet and centerpiece to show what she had envisioned for the day. I gave a little feedback for a few different flowers and on the wedding day, the flowers were perfect. She was a true professional and knows how to work with people who have an idea and turn it into a reality. She was always super responsive and updated the contract whenever I made changes so I could see how adding 4 flower girls' baskets changed the total amount due :) So grateful for Kate and everything she did. I highly recommend using William Penn Inn Floral Shoppe if you are getting married at WPI or even another venue. She's fantastic!

We got married on June 8th and I have nothing but amazing things to say about The William Penn Inn and the entire staff who helped in planning and having our wedding! From the very beginning the staff worked with us in making sure we had all of the information and details on what our big day would be like. We worked with Caryn and she seriously was the best! I can’t stress enough how easy it was working with her and the entire staff, they truly have everything planned down to the very end and even our guests raved about how on top of everything they were during the wedding! All of the staff really did amazing the day of, we had several compliments about the bartenders and wait staff and we definitely noticed how hard they were working to make sure everything was going smoothly. We never had to worry about anything and that was such a relief. It was really nice to drop off all of my stuff a couple days before so I didn’t have to worry about it. Everything was set up perfectly the day of and it was so nice that they broke everything down when it was done. We worked with Kate for our flowers and she was amazing! I had an idea of what I wanted but she really made it come alive! She was such a pleasure to work with, very helpful and worked with me on questions I had. She was very accommodating with some additions I added too and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous!! Im usually not a flower person but I was obsessed with my bouquet!! It was truly a pleasure working with Caryn, Kate and the whole staff at the William Penn Inn. My wedding day was was absolutely perfect and I am so happy we decided on the William Penn Inn, I honestly couldn’t imagine anywhere else! I would recommend this venue over and over again!

The William Penn Inn made my wedding SO much easier and less stressful to plan than I had imagined. I can’t stress enough how happy I am to have used them as my ceremony venue, reception venue, cake baker, and florist. Caryn was so helpful throughout the whole process and we got to work with her from when we booked up to the wedding day! I had a million questions and requests and Caryn was always super helpful and responsive with everything. When it came to the actual day, she ran everything so smoothly I was shocked at how little I had to worry about. Kate and the floral team did an amazing job with all of our flowers and she was so kind during the whole process as well. The cake was exactly what I had envisioned and was also the most delicious wedding cake I’ve ever had. If you’re debating on whether or not to book them, you should definitely go for it and you will not be disappointed. Their prices are also very fair in comparison to other venues. All in all, the William Penn Inn made our wedding so amazing and unforgettable!!

As soon as I got engaged, I knew that I wanted a historic venue for the wedding. I've been going to the William Penn Inn for various special dinners over the years with family, so I already knew that the building is beautiful and the food is fantastic. So they were on our short-list to visit ASAP. We met with Caryn, who went over the packages and we quickly learned how much of a one-stop-shop they are: in-house catering, baking, and florist! They offer indoor and outdoor ceremonies and have large and small rooms to accommodate any size event. My husband's family is huge, so we knew we'd need the entire ballroom and so we booked both the Surrey and the Carriage Ballrooms. I'm also extremely anxious, and did not want to worry about the weather for an entire year, so we decided up front to do the ceremony indoors. The indoor ceremony in the Carriage Ballroom can take place in front of the stage or the fireplace; we opted for the fireplace, because it's been recently renovated and is absolutely gorgeous. They have the planning down to a science and will contact you when the time comes for specific decisions to keep you on track. While our main contact was Caryn, we also worked with Shelley and Monica for various planning things, and Robin was our day-of coordinator. Everyone we dealt with was very nice and knowledgeable about our event so they could help us at the drop of a hat. On the day of, Robin had everything running like clockwork, which made it so much easier for us to relax and actually enjoy the day. Kate is the florist on site, and she was wonderful to work with. I brought a handful of pictures and a vague description of what I wanted, and she turned that small bit of information into perfect floral arrangements. All I said was that I liked shorter and wider centerpieces (as a short person, I value being able to see people across the table!) and organic shapes. When we came to the trial appointment, I had no changes, she'd nailed the vision I had in mind! And when the day of the wedding got closer, she even checked in because the flowers she intended to use to achieve our color scheme seemed to be showing a little off and she wanted to make sure we'd be happy with the color. And of course the food. Oh my goodness the food is incredible. We went with the lobster & crab imperial salmon, the chicken francaise, and the braised boneless beef short ribs. Everyone we spoke to commented on how the food at our wedding was the best they'd ever had. I really can't recommend the William Penn Inn enough, it was the perfect venue for our absolutely perfect wedding.

Knowing the excellent reputation of WPI, we were confident our daughter’s wedding would be 5 stars but somehow we are still amazed by the day. The WPI staff, food, flowers, cake were amazing. Absolutely gorgeous flowers coordinated so professionally and pleasantly with Kate. Tables, decorations etc were arranged exactly as intended in our meetings and communications with Monica. Day of coordinator Karen was professional and attentive. The garden and reception rooms were beautiful and the food delicious and hot. I am so happy my daughter and her husband chose WIlliam Penn Inn!

We chose the William Penn Inn (WPI) for its excellent reputation and past interaction with other banquets. The initial planning of the wedding went well and many extras were included. When the wedding day came, the trouble started. The florist had difficulty delivering the flowers since he was given a small window of time to deliver. This seemed odd since WPI has its own florist with their own refrigerators. The table flowers needed to be reworked 30 minutes before the ceremony since they were the wrong color and the wrong vase. The bartender was not very engaging and had a frosty personality. WPI has a rule that guests can only be served one drink at a time, so a person could not get drinks for a spouse or the groom or for a table. This is the first time we ever encountered such a rule. When a guest asked for a new napkin, a server provided a soiled one from another table. The coordinator and servers seemed hurried and inattentive. The dinner was served OK but after there were unbused tables and trays after the meal. There was a larger wedding next store. It is unknown whether the servers were supporting the other wedding also. The coordinator, at one point, complained to the bride that people were changing their orders. She did this numerous times. This information should have been provided to parents or some other contact. There were many other issues that could not be detailed here. We cannot recommend WPI after our event. These issues were brought to the attention of the WPI management. As far as we know nothing was done. There was no attempt to reconcile the complaints.

We had our wedding in November, and the experience was amazing! The William Penn Inn is a well oiled wedding machine for delivering events with excellence. Everyone we worked with was an expert that assisted us to achieve the perfect special day. For the moments where I really found myself nervous or not having answers, the team at William Penn Inn helped us make decisions that were beautifully aligned with our needs and vision. Kate, the florist, took my ideas and actualized them into classy and exquisite arrangements. Monica, the event specialist, helped us put all the right details in place to ensure everything came together beautifully, and Robin, our day-of coordinator, ensured seamless execution. Everything was perfect!! All of our guests raved about the food, the flowers, and the beautiful historic setting. We highly recommend this venue for your wedding, or any big event you may have coming up. Word of advice, this place is very much in demand, so book quickly!!

The William Penn Inn was an amazing venue for our wedding! The coordinators are extremely helpful in giving you a helpful timeline in order to get everything done. The venue couldn't be more beautiful and they are definitely flexible and available to answer any questions. They are very organized and definitely experienced. The food is also great! Also a big shout out to Kate the florist - she was absolutely WONDERFUL! My complaints are minor - our contract stated we needed corona light for the groom's mother and during the reception there was no corona light. The end of the night felt rushed - it felt like we had 15 minutes to get all of our decor out of the room. A child's entree was never brought out. And we forgot a pen for the guest book and they wouldn't even supply us with one, my photographer's wife had to lend me a pen. Otherwise, a great venue and experience!

The William Penn Inn served as a great wedding venue for us. All of the guests raved about the food too! We ended up having to have our ceremony inside due to heavy rain, but the ceremony was still beautiful. We got so many compliments about the whole thing from start to finish. Monica was our coordinator and helped me through every single step and question I had. She was always so friendly, supportive, and helpful. She is a big part of what made my experience wedding planning so much fun (instead of stressful)! Robin helped us on the big day and made sure everything was carried out the way we had planned. Also, Kate at the flower shoppe was phenomenal too. I was so happy with my bouquet that she created, as well as our table centerpieces. She went above and beyond for us all along the way. If you’re looking for a florist with a great personality and the perfect eye for detailed touches, she’s the one. Would definitely recommend overall!

Everyone was amazing for our laid back ceremony and reception. We worked with Caryn and Monica and they were so helpful in making sure our day was stress free and fun. Our overnight stay was amazing. Everything ran smooth, I would definitely recommend this for any type of wedding you are looking for.

My husband and I got married at the William Penn Inn on November 10, 2018. I could not have been more pleased with how our day went. It was so perfect and I wish I could re-live it over and over again! The first time we went to see the venue, a woman named Shelley completely stole the show (she has since retired). She really knew how to sell the WPI to us. Their wedding package includes SO much: dinner, top-shelf open bar, centerpieces, the cake and we were comped the ceremony charge since we got married indoors. Ceremony: beautifully intimate. The lighting is perfect and we got married in front of the fire place in the Carriage Room. Super romantic. Cocktail hour: An impressive menu to choose from. My husband and I had a difficult time choosing what to serve because there were so many good options (also a perk: they had a plate of the cocktail hour food waiting at our table for us in the reception hall since they expect the bride and groom to be so busy during cocktail hour!) Reception: Dinner was unbelievable. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was! The top shelf open bar also has guests super pumped. They also include a champagne toast for everyone, which I loved. Wine service is also offered table-to-table during dinner. The dance floor was awesome and so much fun during our reception. Flowers: Kate is AMAZING. I was living out of town for most of my wedding planning. She was so responsive via email and came up with some really creative ideas for flowers. Our wedding photos look that much better with her stunning arrangements. You are not required to purchase wedding day flowers from WPI's flower shoppe but I highly recommend that you do. Kate's prices were far better than outside shops (yes, I checked. You gotta shop around!) and Kate's personality and professionalism cannot be beat. Cake: Baked on premises at the WPI. So delicious (and I don't even usually like cake). It was stunning and simply decorated but was so beautiful that I will always remember it. They inform you that you can be as simple or as decadent as you would like when designing your wedding cake. Before the big day: The tasting was SUPERB. It is a complimentary tasting for 6 (both sets of parents could come and they loved it!) Shelley is no longer with WPI, but an excellent and super friendly woman named Monica is there! She is incredibly responsive to emails/phone calls. I was not a super crazy bride but definitely very particular and Monica was always super sweet to me. On the big day: Our day-of coordinator was Robin. She was AWESOME. She just literally thought of everything. We met her at the rehearsal and then she spent the evening with us during our wedding. She made sure that everyone was where they were supposed to be and that everything went off without a hitch. She was essential to the success of the day. After the big day: We were given a free room to stay at the inn the night of our wedding. It was SO nice to just walk upstairs after. We were SO tired and that just made it so much easier. They also offer free brunch to the newlyweds if you spend the night at the inn. These people have really thought of everything! I cannot say enough good things about the William Penn Inn. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone. They allowed us to have the wedding day of our dreams!

My husband and I got married on December 22nd 2018! It was the MOST magicical wedding I could have ever dreamed of. Something out of a fairytale. From the very start, planning was a breeze because of how much they do on sight (food, flowers, bakery)! That was especially important to me because I was planning from out of state. Caryn Allen was my go-to for every single need or question. She responded quickly and made everything so simple and clear. The entire staff at the William Penn Inn is professional, kind, and dedicated to making their events perfect! Compliments come flooding in from guests about the food, the cake, flowers, and the overall beauty of the place. If I could go back I would do everything exactly the same. William Penn Inn was the perfect place for our wedding. We wanted an elegant, classic style wedding and that is exactly what we had. Everyone at the William Penn Inn was so kind and generous with their time and knowledge. Hospitality and customer service are clearly important to them as these attributes shined through with every interaction. We worked primarily with Caryn who could not have been nicer or more helpful. The food was out of this world and the decorations for Christmas were unparalleled. We are so so happy we booked William Penn Inn!

Booking the William Penn Inn for our wedding day was one of the best decisions my husband and I made! From our first meeting with Monica, her and the entire staff made everything so easy for us. It’s clear that they know what they are doing with large events, as they were able to answer all of our questions and requests (almost always with “Sure, no problem!”) And that they thought and planned for things that weren’t even on our radar. We live about 2 hours away so when looking for a venue we were hoping for a “one stop shop” and the William Penn Inn exceeded our expectations. Monica (the banquet manager) and Kate (the florist) made it so easy to set up and coordinate appointments and they were always responsive to our emails. Both ladies really listened to what we were looking for on our wedding day and worked towards making sure it was exactly what we wanted. Kate was an amazing florist to work with. As someone that can’t tell a flower from a weed she walked us through the process and created gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces for our wedding day. Monica guided us through the entire planning process and answered every question promptly and with a smile. The day of our wedding could not have gone any smoother. Our day of coordinator Karen was fabulous and made sure that everything was taken care of. My husband and I literally had no stress and were able to enjoy every second of our reception. I was expecting to have some element of running around/ tracking people down/ coordinating vendors but I didn’t experience any of that. I truly got to be a guest at my wedding and spend as much time as I wanted on the dance floor! Besides the second to none service, the food was amazing! We got so many compliments from our guests on how good everything tasted. Without a doubt we would recommend the William Penn Inn to anyone looking to have a wedding in the Philly suburbs. The staff is incredible and I really can’t emphasize enough how easy it is to plan an event with them. My husband and I had the perfect wedding day thanks to them!

Our entire process from the first appointment to the actual booking was seamless and perfect! We dealt with a few people throughout the process, but they all never missed a beat! Caryn & Monica were great and I am so glad they were able to walk me through every detail! I had LOTS (and I mean lots!) of questions, as well as details I wanted implemented and decorations I was providing. The entire team gave me my dream day, and Robin our day of corrdinator was just as great. She even helped me to bustle my dress when it came undone!

When my now husband and I chose to have our ceremony and wedding at the William Penn Inn we had no idea how much it would exceed our expectations. We had around 115 people attend our wedding. I will start with the outside garden where they hold the ceremony. It is a well-kept spacious garden that looks amazing in pictures. Throughout the planning of our wedding we would have to stop by the venue for meetings and what not and every time we would sneak a peek at the garden area it looked amazing (saw it during winter, spring and our wedding was in the fall). There are also a handful of places in the garden for pictures too. It was very pretty! Then the happy hour took place in the main reception area (and guests could hang out in the hall where there are addition seating and such). I was worried about there being lines at the bar since there were only one, but the bartenders are wonderful and the whole night I did not see the line exceed three people. They had staff bring out hot hors d'oeuvres while the cold hors d'oeuvres (cheeses and such) were in a large table in the middle of the dance floor. Right before the reception everything was cleared. They wasted no time serving dinner at the beginning of the reception and everything was so delicious! Our cake and assorted desserts were also amazing. We opted to get the Philadelphia Station at the end of the night. No one left hungry. Also, I just wanted to throw this part in, I gave a box of decorations that I didn’t know what to do with and the staff there (wish I had specific names) went with it and used it as they felt, and it looked WAY better than anything I could have thought of. The event specialist, Monica Ganter, was our main contact and worked with us throughout the entire process. I have no idea what I would have done without her! Monica is so nice and helpful. She would always respond to my emails within a day (and I emailed A LOT) and worked around our schedule for in office meetings. Monica was so awesome to work with and made us feel confident that we were on the right track. The florist, Kate Marshall, was also so great to work with! She is so talented, and our centerpieces, bouquets and other flower décor were fabulous. One of my guests must have (hopefully) accidentally took my bouquet home and I loved it so much that I had to order another, so I could dry it out and save it. We also had a day of coordinator, Collin. He made the day go so smoothly. He would round up the party when we needed to do introductions and find my husband and I when it was time to cut the cake and for the bouquet toss. If we needed anything, he was the go-to man and he would get it done. Him and the staff also brought in our outside decorations and brought it inside. At the end of the night things could not have gone any better and this was just the best venue with the best food run by the best staff.

We had the most beautiful wedding ceremony and reception held at the gorgeous William Penn Inn on Friday, December 15th, 2017. The service was absolutely impeccable. Shelly worked with us to coordinate our special day. Menu and cake tasting were spectacular and got us so excited for our wedding day. The picturesque scenery and background of William Penn Inn turned our day and wedding pictures into something that looked straight out of a fairtytale. The grounds were beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and decor. We received so many compliments on the food served at our wedding. I was married at the William Penn Inn Saturday November 10,2018 and it could not have been a more spectacular day thanks to the staff and event coordinators! Caryn was who I worked with explaining my Dream come true fairy tale wedding wishes, and she made every single wish come true that day! Kate was the floral specialist who also created the most beautiful flower arrangements and bouquets to help tie our whole fairy tale together! There was not one negative point from picking the venue to planning to the actual day. I married my soulmate in the greatest place imaginable and thank you could never be enough for the people and staff who made our wedding Amazing!
