A Classic Ballroom Wedding at West End Ballroom in Portland, Oregon
A historic downtown theater converted into a ballroom venue housed this classic wedding, decorated in a romantic palette of pink, nude, gold and navy. Ashley Blevins (29 and a pharmacist) and Adam Zivony (36 and a physician) had their ceremony just blocks away from their reception in Portland, Oregon, making travel as convenient as possible for guests, so they could experience the city that the couple adored. “We wanted our guests to experience and enjoy the city as much as possible while coming to town to celebrate with us,” Ashley says. The couple’s traditional Jewish ceremony took place at Temple Beth Israel in Portland, Oregon, a synagogue they both attended that needed little decorating, thanks to the stunning architecture and ornate woodwork captured on camera by Powers Studios. The reception was held inside the West End Ballroom, where round dining tables were dressed in nude-colored tablecloths and set with elegant beaded dinnerware. Tall glass vases filled with round ivory hydrangeas and pink rose arrangements created a romantic display, arranged by Your Perfect Blossoms. The couple kept their food menu local to Portland restaurants and caterers, including their favorite bakery, which made their ivory three-tier wedding cake accented with pink roses. “Be open and flexible, and remember what's really important on the wedding day,” Ashley says. “Things may not always go exactly as planned. Just roll with it, and no one will know.”
