A Classic, Timeless Wedding at Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse in Chicago, Illinois
“Nobody will remember if you had chair covers or what color your linens were. The most important thing is saying your ‘I dos,’ and having your family and friends there to be a part of the joyous occasion is incredibly special," says Kelly Lawson (34 and in medical-device sales) on her wedding to Brent Lawson (32 and a trader). The lovely couple began their wedding day with a ceremony at Old St. Patrick’s Church in Chicago, Illinois, the church Kelly has attended since she moved to Chicago. “I couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Brent and I were honored and blessed to have Father Tom Hurley perform the ceremony,” Kelly says. The reception continued at Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse in the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center, where guests enjoyed a delicious meal before dancing into the night. “It was the perfect location for the many guests traveling near and far to celebrate with us on this special day,” Kelly says. The couple selected a color palette of champagne, ivory and green with soft touches of peach for a traditional, classic atmosphere. Viviana of Petal Play Design created romantic floral arrangements, including a fresh touch of color to the wedding cake by La Petite Sweet. “In the middle of the reception, Brent and I took a step back to take in all the love and joy that filled the room,” Kelly says. “Seeing our friends and family dance, laugh and have a good time filled us with gratitude and pure bliss.”
