A Fun Wax Museum Wedding at Musee Conti in New Orleans, Louisiana
Chileen Stephenson and Aaron Yeager had been dating for eight years when he popped the question on vacation in Maui. As the couple exchanged cards every year for their anniversary, Aaron seized the opportunity to write “Will you marry me?” in Hawaiian on the card. Together with Weddings by Lulu, the couple planned a fun orange and gold accented wedding in a memorable location -- the Musee Conti Wax Museum in New Orleans. The couple knew New Orleans would provide a vacation for their guests and be the perfect spot to house their wedding. Chileen and Aaron took photos around town and had a first look before joining friends and family at the venue. Candles in geometric black lanterns lined the aisle as rows of gold chiavari chairs faced a wall of gold curtains. Once Chileen and Aaron said “I do,” their celebration continued with an indoor cocktail hour and reception. Rustic exposed brick walls were accented with gold-linen-covered round tables, chiavari chairs and mixed floral centerpieces. Each guest found his or her seat with the help of a vintage-style white and orange escort card before all enjoyed a night of dinner, dancing and mini key lime pies.
