A Glamorous Red Wedding at Talamore Country Club in Ambler, Pennsylvania
Cynthia Mars (28 and a human resources associate) and Michael Stackhouse (33 and an engineering analyst) had their version of a destination wedding at the Talamore Country Club in Ambler, Pennsylvania. "We are not from Pennsylvania but we wanted to get out of New England and some sort of a 'destination wedding' without having to take plane," Cynthia says. For their glamorous event, Cynthia and Michael chose red as their main color, which photographed beautifully in the images captured by BG Productions. After a simple and traditional outdoor ceremony, the party moved indoors to the two-story ballroom at the country club. The hall features marble floors and an ornate chandelier, so Cynthia and Michael kept their decor to a minimum to highlight these features. Guests found their seating assignments attached to individually-wrapped candy apples as a fun twist on traditional escort cards. Dining tables at the reception were decorated with bouquets of white chrysanthemums and hydrangeas, and each table had an I Spy challenge for guests to enjoy. "We are both very down to earth people, and we wanted our wedding to reflect that," Cynthia says. "Mike and his fraternity brothers had the chance to stroll for our guests, and many were surprised because they didn't know Mike could move like that!"
