A Laid-Back Beach Wedding at Holiday Inn Resort Beach House on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Jeremy Calhoun (33 and a project manager) bumped into Elizabeth Regan (29 and a nursing student) at a bar during a trip to Kentucky and asked for her number. When Elizabeth learned that he was from Ohio, she thought nothing would come of it and even turned Jeremy down when he asked her out. But Jeremy still texted Elizabeth the next morning—and every morning after that. Elizabeth moved to Dayton eleven months later and Jeremy proposed at a pumpkin patch with her immediate family hiding in a barn to take pictures. The couple spent the next ten months planning a beachfront destination wedding at the Holiday Inn Resort Beach House on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. "My dream has always been to get married on the beach and The Beach House Resort was an immediate choice for our venue," says Elizabeth. They have the perfect easy-breezy aesthetic I was going for." The couple worked with a neutral color palette to enhance the natural beauty of their beach setting and went barefoot during their ceremony. Nautical DIY accents enhanced the beach-chic theme and an acoustic ukulele player added tot he celebratory mood. "We wanted everyone to feel comfortable, eat well, and party hard," says Elizabeth. "We're a no fuss, laid back, fun couple and we wanted our wedding to represent that."
