A Rustic Lavender Wedding at The Barn at Ross Farm in Cohutta, Georgia
After three years of dating, Barry VanDelinder (24 and a CPA) proposed to Samantha Munro (23 and a teacher) before a romantic Valentine's Day dinner. Samantha was shocked when she saw her halo diamond engagement ring and excitedly began planning their rustic fall nuptials at The Barn at Ross Farm. "Our ceremony was outside of the barn in the pasture, but our reception was inside with some spillover onto two patios." With the help of her bridesmaids, Samantha quickly found perfect strapless dresses at David's bridal that were the perfect shade of lavender for her purple color palette. "With purple being my favorite color, I knew I wanted that incorporated into the wedding," says Samantha. "I couldn't narrow down a specific shade or coordinating colors, so I chose to make it all shades of purple!" Overwhelmed by the array of wildflower bouquet and centerpiece ideas online, the bride left the floral decisions to Bates Florist. They were surprised with vibrant arrangements featuring soft lavender and Queen Anne's lace based off of their favorite photos. Continuing with their rustic theme, the couple used mason jars for centerpiece vases as well as DIY burlap and lace accents. "Hobby Lobby became my best friend as I was decorating!" says Samantha.
