A Traditional Red Wedding at Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club in Tampa, Florida
From their ceremony aisle to the top of the wedding cake, Amy Littleton (26 and a registered nurse) and Felix Canella’s (27 and a student) infused the traditional symbol of love, a red rose, into every aspect of their wedding. “I love roses. They may be classic, but they symbolize love to me and our wedding was filled with love!” says Amy. The day started with a traditional ceremony at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church and moved to a timeless rose-lined reception complete with a rose petal exit. Confetti Events and Andrea Layne Floral Design were paramount in creating the couple’s love-inspired decor. Red rose bouquets were set across a bed of rose petals and tea light candles on the head table as each guest's table was met with arrangements of roses and hydrangeas surrounded by candelabras. “The reception room was beautiful and fulfilled the romantic, classic, elegant look that I envisioned for our wedding,” says Amy. The couple’s red rose accents even stemmed to their wedding cake. The team at The Cake Zone baked a four-tier white confection for the couple accented with intricate detailing and a subtle quilted texture below cascading red blooms. The top tier stood out on a silver crystal-accented server and was topped with a silver “C” initial. A thoughtful tip from Amy: “Hire a wedding coordinator. My wedding planner was amazing and there for me throughout the entire process. She kept me calm, helped me find the perfect vendors for me and helped create my amazing day. Overall though, just focus on you and your spouse and know that no matter what, the day really will be perfect because you will be married to your best friend!”
