From High School Crush to Forever Love

Their story begins in 2017 when Alexia and Danny were both in high school. Their paths often intersected in the parking lot, as both of them were involved in athletics - Alexia played softball, while Danny played baseball.

In October 2017, Alexia first noticed Danny while having lunch in her car with some friends. He was walking with his friend, Louis, whom she also knew at the time. After gathering some courage, Alexia asked him about Danny's relationship status, hoping he might be single. Unfortunately, Danny was in a relationship, so she decided to move on. As the months passed and prom season approached, circumstances changed. Danny found himself single, and Alexia, without a date. So Louis suggested to Danny that he invite Alexia to prom. Despite the suggestion, Danny felt it was premature to go with a date and decided to attend with his friends instead. Unfazed by the missed opportunity, she attended prom with a friend.

During the event, Danny eventually worked up the courage to ask Alexia for a dance, although it was near the end of a song. Their dance was brief, but it sparked a connection between them. After some time, she approached him to ask for another dance. Following this encounter, they discovered shared interests while conversing for almost an hour.

After prom, they exchanged contact information and the next day Danny invited Alexia out to lunch at Chick-Fil-A. Their conversations and outings continued for a few months, fostering a growing bond between them. On June 18, 2018, Danny officially asked Alexia to be his girlfriend, marking the beginning of their amazing journey together.

Throughout their journey from undergraduate to graduate studies and beyond, they have been unwavering pillars of support for each other. They’ve navigated the challenges of college together, leaning on each other for strength and encouragement. As Alexia pursues her master's degree, Danny has embarked on his professional career, but their commitment to each other remains steadfast. Whether it's celebrating successes or providing a shoulder to lean on during setbacks, they continue to uplift and motivate one another, knowing that together, they can conquer any obstacle that comes their way.

Fast forward to April 14, 2023, amidst a photoshoot set against the stunning backdrop of the Organ Mountains in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Danny got down on one knee and asked Alexia if she would marry him!

Over the past six years, they have shared countless experiences, deepened their connection, and grown together. Their love story, which began with chance encounters and hesitant steps, has evolved into a beautiful partnership filled with understanding, support, and shared dreams.
