The love story that God had planned for Kyle and Alyssa began almost two years before either person had ever said a word to the other.

Alyssa had been living alone with her daughter, Isla, who at the time was less than a year old, at the house on the lake. Over the course of the two years they lived there, the Brides mom would hire projects to be done around the house. Luckily, the previous owner of the lake home had a go-to guy for any home project...his name was Kyle. He continued to do work there for the Brides family.

So the coveted handyman would show up around the house over the two years Alyssa and Isla lived there, starting and finishing projects. She always noticed him and was familiar with him coming to work on things here and there - but never built up the courage to ask him his name (even though she already knew from the hundreds of times her mom raved about his work) or if he was even single. For all she knew, he couldve been married!

If you ask the Groom what he saw from the outside looking in - literally outside, as he worked on wall arbors outside on their deck while Alyssa and Isla sat on the couch just inside the windows - during those two years, his famous answer is She was beautiful, but with a baby that young, she got a lot going on right now! :) He was right. The best love stories happen in Gods timing. Timing was indeed everything in this story!

Fast forward two years from the first time the Bride and Groom had laid eyes on each other without as much as a single word exchanged, and Kyle was back working on a pergola. The now famous pergola. It was a beautiful day outside and the brides mom, the bride, and Isla were playing outside in the drive as Kyle was working.

A storm rolled in and all the girls headed inside as Kyle packed up his tools to leave. This.. this was the day God had us wait for.

They got back inside the house, but then Alyssa realized she couldnt find her phone. It was about to rain, and did not want the phone to get rained on if it was left outside -so she ran back outside to look for it. Just as she did a visual sweep of the area they were playing in, a voice behind her says Did you lose something? It was just the two of them standing in the driveway. She explains that she lost her phone and was looking outside to try to avoid it getting rained on. And without missing a beat, Kyle whips out his phone and without any hesitation he says, Whats your number? Ill call it. She looked up at him, questioning if that was a sly pick up line he was trying to see if he could get her number with or if he really was just trying to help find the lost phone. After a split second debate, she shrugged, decided to take the chance, and gave the cute guy the number to call.

The phone was found later inside the house a little while after Kyle left, but that wasnt important. What was important, to both people actually, was finding some way to continue the conversation now that they had each others number! Only two years in the making at this point.

Their first date happened at Wolfies on Morse Lake, and they were there for over 4 hours- totally losing track of how long they had been there. They deeply enjoyed spending time with each other and soon were inseparable. It was only a few months in and it was undeniable. This was what God had planned for their lives.

Countless dates, Bubbas on Tuesday nights (and many other nights), family pictures and Christmas cards. It was getting real for all three of them.

A ring was bought, blessings asked. And then on Sunday April 9th, 2023, in front of both of their families, they became the future Mr. and Mrs. Allman. Their perfect family of three now whole. No one writes a love story better than the one God has planned for us.
