Amy and I grew up only 30 yards from each other. Our families were close, and we knew each other since I was born! Amy was four years older, so being young and exclusive... we weren't actually friends until some years later, around 2009.

After becoming friends, we both recognized that we really liked each other! We spent a lot of time together and had a genuinely great time. We didn't say anything for a few more years though, because Amy soon moved to Texas. She was off doing her thing down there for THREE YEARS! We were pen pals throughout that time, ensuring our story is as corny as possible.

Amy was back to Alaska in 2013. For the next year, Amy and I grew close while I was in Fairbanks. In late November of 2014, I made a trip to Anchorage and told her my feelings. The next day, 11/28/14, we spoke on the phone, hundreds of miles apart, and agreed to excitedly begin our journey together.

The past three years have been nothing short of incredible. It has been an honor and joy to share such a brief few years with someone I find so spectacular. She has an unbridled passion for life, kindness, and adventure. I believe it rare to find someone so aggressively loving and caring. I am excited to enjoy the next years of my life with her!

Whether or not you make it to our wedding, please pray for us. We strive to line our marriage up with God's goals. Pray for us to continue our journey with a strong foundation in Jesus, love, and a willingness to adventure.
