It all started when Grigsby went to his cousin Hailey's 21st birthday party. Annie also went, because Hailey was her favorite roommate in college. Grigsby and Annie had a great time with the big group in downtown Athens.

A year later, Hailey invited Grigsby and Annie to her college graduation party. Hailey warned Annie that Grigsby would be there again, and Annie was dressed to impress. There were no plans to go downtown Athens, but Grigsby and Annie wanted to go. It was not a big group this time; it was only Grigsby, Hailey, Mac, and Annie. Grigsby and Annie immediately hit it off again. They both knew there was a connection.

After that night, they began texting and made plans to hang out together, just the two of them. Their first official date was at Longhorns. Grigsby opened every door for Annie; she was smitten. After spending that entire weekend together, they knew it was meant to be. Not only did they really start enjoying each other's company, but Annie left her debit card and driver's license in Grigsby's wallet (by accident). When Annie arranged to get it back from Grigsby, he suggested they hang out the entire weekend again. They have been inseparable since.

Fast forward to two years later, on August 22, Grigsby proposed in front of their first home on closing day.
