Hannah is Emily’s best friend of 15+ years. Hannah and Emily met in hebrew school in Orlando at Ohev Shalom. Emily and Hannah grew to be best friends at the beginning of their college experience. Hannah lives on a diet of tacos and tequila and has often been said to breath in 90’s punk rock rather than oxygen. Hannah is a professional silly goose, friends trip planner and Gillette razor manufacturer.

Midwestern kindness takes a new form in Megan Andrews. Megan warms the hearts of all she touches and was a founding member of “The Big Wood Wives Club,” Ari’s medical school house in Chicago, that he shared with his best friends Emmad Karmouta, Johnny Shapton and Arian Nowrozi. To be clear, the house was located on Wood St in Wicker Park.

Orly is the eldest of the Hadar sisters and arguably the nicest person alive. You can often find her hanging out with her best friend Joey, her pet bunny, not to be confused with Ari’s best man, Joey Cooper. This is often confusing to people because Joey is a bad bunny, as is Joey the best man.

Tali is the youngest of the Hadar sisters (yes there are three of them <3). Tali has often been called the “naughty” one by their sweet South African mother, Janine the Queen. Tali enjoys long walks around her college campus at FSU, hillel shabbat dinners and underage drinking.

Danielle is the second eldest sister of the Hadar sisters and currently lives in Tel Aviv. Danielle works as a therapist, which has really come in handy for wedding planning :) Danielle is a former pro break dancer, so if you see her on the dance floor make sure you ask her to show you some moves.

Casey is Emily's first cousin, and is a very impressive person. Casey is a ballerina by trade and an incredible dancer, so look for her busting a move on the dance floor. Emily adores her little cousin and is grateful to her for showing her around her new home in South Florida, and for all of her help in the wedding planning process.

Deanna is Emily’s cousin, and is a criminal defense attorney. She will be taking meetings upstairs at the wedding, on that day; the day of her favorite cousins' wedding. Deanna lives with her fiance Chris in Washington DC, the only republican left in our nation’s capital. Deanna works on high profile litigation cases for classified international projects. If you ask her about her job at the wedding, you may be slide tackled. God speed.

Joey is one of Ari’s oldest friends (he was 38 years old at the time of writing this). He is also Ari’s best friend. Ari met Joey at Chabad of UCF over 10 years ago and while their friendship started as sitting together at Shabbat dinners, it transformed into a lifelong friendship that has seen them travel the US together. From Wyoming to Utah to Maine, there are MANY people Joey would rather travel to National Parks with. But again and again, he invites Ari on his trips because he loves him. Right back at ya Joe. Thanks for being my best man. Hope you can make it to the wedding :)

Emmad is unique in so many ways. He is one of the funniest people Ari has ever met, which makes no sense because he's a psychiatrist. He is also one of the most thoughtful, considerate, and inclusive people we know. He holds a special place in Ari’s heart for being the first friend to independently befriend Emily. Emmad, in many ways, has been the ring leader for the best med school friend group to ever exist. He is the glue that keeps us together (or Karan’s incessant texts in the group chat about basketball). Emmad will be bringing 10 prescription pads to the wedding and will be distributing on a first come, first serve basis. Cant wait to celebrate with you Emmad!

JFP is one smart fella! He knew Ari was the one for his big sister when on the first night meeting his future brother-in-law, he felt comfortable enough to eat off of Ari’s plate of pasta. It may also have been Ari introducing Jesse to the wonders of penne alla vodka. Either way, Jesse, along with the rest of his family, have welcomed Ari into their family with open arms and open hearts. Importantly, this Jesse is not to be confused with our other Groomsman, who is also named Jesse. Jesse's comedy Netflix special will go live the night of the wedding, so stay tuned!

Sam is a very special person in Ari’s life. Ari met Sam in college as admittedly the only 2 normal pre-med students in their cohort. A study partnership (where Sam would start studying the night before the test and still get the highest grade) took a turn when Sam asked Ari to move in with him. Those two years were some of the best of Ari’s life, not the least for introducing Ari to his new roommate, and one of the most uniquely special people in the world, Jackson. From those early days in college, Ari would get excited literally every time he would see Sam in the hospital 10 years later as a doctor, a colleague, and a life-long brother. Sam is an excellent rapper and is happy to perform on command. Make sure to ask for a freestyle sesh on our wedding day.

Ari has some impressive friends, and Brad is no exception. Ari has admired Brad tremendously for his intelligence, work ethic, and dedication to maintaining 2% body fat through residency - try hard.... Ari and Brad colluded together early on in residency and now are living out their dreams, both thriving in cardiology fellowship. Brad is also one of the goofiest and funniest people Ari knows - his name is quite literally "Dr. Money". Brad bought Ari a spear gun for his birthday this year, which Emily really loved. Thanks Brad!

Jesse + Ari + Brad make up a trio that stuck together through IM residency from literally day 1 to the very last day (see their epic Bahamas Scuba Adventure). Sam Harris went to medical school with Jesse and told Ari about how him and Jesse would be great friends (another reason to be grateful to Sam)... and how right he was. Jesse and Ari became fast friends and some of Ari’s favorite residency memories include enjoying the great outdoors with Dr. Hubbard (except that time Ari lost his sunglasses 3 minutes into a paddle in Weeki Wachee- he had no one to blame but himself). Jesse will be missed as he transitions to his oncology fellowship in Seattle, but we are all happy for him to be returning home and saving lives.

Karan and Ari got into a tiff early on in their first year of medical school . That could have been it for them, but they got through it, and they were only stronger for it. That was the springboard for a fruitful study group with Erika and later a friendship that would transcend the world of medicine (now includes sports). Ari has seen Karan at his worst (would have to ask KP about that) as well as his best, now living out his best life as a dermatologist. He also may or may not be Emily’s favorite of Ari’s friends due to the promise of free dermatological care in the future.
