Each adventure, each chapter, each day brought them closer together. Until just 13 months after that hockey game, Alex got down on his knee at Ashley’s favorite winery in Napa and asked her to marry him. To say the moment was surreal for both of them, would be an understatement. If you had asked either of them a few years ago what their future looked like, neither could have predicted what was to come. That they’d be living on a little piece of land, planning a future filled with gardens and animals; traveling and adventures and getting to do it all by the side of someone who loves them without limit.
