Not many newly engaged couples can say they have been together for as long as Aaron and Charmaine - and we're sure some of you have been waiting for this day for a long time!

Aaron and Charmaine first met in Grade 10 at St. Francis High School here in Calgary. We were both in the school band, with Charmaine playing tenor sax, and Aaron playing the trombone. Over the next few years, they became friends, and were well known for having long, deep conversations in the band room after school or being flirty in social (We're pretty sure our teacher was shipping us). Charmaine confessed her feelings to Aaron and admittedly - it took a while until the pair became official! Aaron asked Charmaine to our Grade 12 graduation dinner and dance, where Charmaine wore a light blue dress and Aaron a matching tie. The following morning, we began dating and thus began the last 10 years of our relationship.

Over the years, Aaron and Charmaine have shared in each other's triumphs and challenges, eaten many delicious meals, travelled and explored throughout BC and Alberta, and spent many hours simply enjoying the beautiful city we call home. Some highlights of the last 10 years include:

January 2012: Aaron and Charmaine meet at St. Francis High School

April 2013: Aaron and Charmaine travel with St. Francis High School band to Los Angeles

April 2014: Aaron and Charmaine travel with St. Francis High School band to Hawaii - where Charmaine was still patiently waiting for Aaron's answer and classmates - and teachers- were thinking both were together

June 1, 2014: Gr 12 Graduation Dinner and Dance

June 2, 2014: We start dating officially

July 2014: First date night to the Calgary Tower and Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra

July 2015: First Stampede together (Charmaine was in the Calgary Stampede Showband and performed that year).

September 2015: Aaron and Charmaine begin their undergrads at University of Calgary

July 2017: Charmaine visits Prosser family in Windermere, BC and wakesurfs for the first time!

March 2018: 4 year anniversary dinner at the Calgary Tower

Summer 2018: More trips to BC

June 2019: Aaron graduates from University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Physiology

August 2019: Aaron begins his master's degree at the University of Alberta in Physiotherapy.

November 2019: Charmaine graduates from University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies

February 2020: Aaron and Charmaine have a romantic weekend trip to Banff

March 2020: Well.....we all know what happened here

Spring 2020: Many Zoom Saturday night dinner dates

Early July 2021: Aaron and Charmaine go to Waterton for a weekend getaway

Late July 2021: Charmaine visits Winnipeg and Kenora with the Prosser family - and gets to see where Aaron grew up!

September 2021: Charmaine returns to U of C for her Bachelor's in Social Work

January 2022: Aaron begins his career as a physiotherapist

June 2022: Aaron graduates with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy

April 2023 - Charmaine graduates with a Bachelor of Social Work

June 2023: Charmaine begins her career in Social Work

On October 21st, 2023, Aaron and Charmaine took a weekend trip out to Invermere, BC. After a drive that was initially cold and rainy, the rain stopped and clouds lifted just in time to reach the Kootenay Valley Viewpoint. In the quiet, alone at the top of the mountain pass, Aaron got down on one knee - and Charmaine said yes!

Now, we are moving on to the next exciting chapter of our lives. We've had so much support over the years from our family and friends, and are so grateful for all your love and support. We can't wait to celebrate with you on July 27th!
