The Saturday morning farmers' market on the capitol square has something for everyone! Whether you're looking for some local goodies or just a nice walk outside, the farmer's market is a Madison staple.
Check out some contemporary art right in the middle of downtown! The first floor gallery is unique and spunky. Admission is free, open Thursday–Sunday 12–6 PM. The MMoCA is also off of State Street, one of the most well-known and lively streets in the city.
Come check out the most unique electronic health record campus you may ever find -- Epic's "Intergalactic Headquarters" in Verona. Epic is open for self-guided tours 2:30pm - 5pm during the week and 10am-3pm on weekends. Lauren works here on Storybook campus in the Jules Verne building.
Check out the local Wisconsin cheese selection at Brennan's! The farmer basil cheese and the cinnamon cheddar are some of our favorites. There is also a cool cider tasting room attached to the store.
Who knew you could find the world's largest collection of mustard right here in Wisconsin? Come check out this quirky museum for a unique experience of mustard tasting, mustard history, and mustard merch. We love the Dillman Farm smoky chipotle mustard!
Looking to check out some new truffles, or want to try the chocolatey-est hot cocoa? Try out Madison Chocolate Co. for a world of variety in all things chocolate.
This is a great spot to enjoy views of the lake and sip on a beverage.
Grab some classic Wisconsin fare at one of the best restaurants in Madison. This spot is best for an early dinner since they get really busy, but it's worth the wait. We would recommend the cheese curds and the potato chip nachos!
Another classic restaurant off the capitol square, Merchant is one of our favorite spots downtown. The fried chicken sandwich is a must-try!
Settle Down Tavern is tucked away off of the capital square -- just slightly off the beaten path. They have unique cocktails and great American food!
This is our favorite Chinese food spot in Madison! We would recommend the basil chicken and the pad thai.
The Great Dane has a huge variety of food and a fun brew pub vibe.
