During his ministry, Jesus Christ elevated marriage to a sacrament. For this reason, Catholic weddings usually take place during the Sacrifice of the Mass, to unify the sacrifice the couple offers each other with the sacrifice of Christ for the Church. We ask that everyone dress appropriately for this, because we as Catholics believe that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Eucharist, under the appearance of bread and wine.
