You can find locations on the AllTrails app (free to download on your phone) or on the website. Some of the activities I've listed below are areas where the East Coast trail runs through, there is usually signage.

Check out the remains of gun emplacements built during World War II to defend against German U-Boats. There is also a small lighthouse.
A beautiful park to see ducks and sometimes swans.

Cute little cafe, be sure to check out the area nearby called "The Battery", you can park by the cafe and walk down the small street.

In the summer, St. John's closes this downtown street so only pedestrians can walk down it (no vehicles). Lots of cute shops, restaurants / bars and live music.
There probably won't be any icebergs this time of year, but you can still go on tours to see whales, dolphins, etc. Gravol recommended if you experience motion sickness / get sick on boats.

Brightly colored downtown rowhomes. Duckworth street is an approximate location, they are all over downtown!
Be sure to check out all of Quidi Vidi Village, and if you're up for a walk, Quidi Vidi Lake nearby is beautiful.

Beautiful scenic drive, if you turn right by the Torbakery (this is a bakery) and park by the church, it brings you to an area overlooking the ocean.

Nice little rocky beach where you can have a fire on the beach in the evening (must bring your own firewood).
An easy trail that used to be where the railway track ran, it is right next to the water and is beautiful on a warm, sunny day.
Brigus is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen with lots of cool things to see (including the Brigus Tunnel).
Yes, there is a town called Dildo in Newfoundland LOL. Jimmy Kimmel visited Dildo and put up the famous Dildo Sign (like the Hollywood sign).
