Eliot and Jordan met for the first time on December 16, 2023 in a coffee shop in West Eugene. From there they spent every weekend together that they could and had dinner together at least once a week while also running errands at Target and/or Costco.

What makes their story legendary is that they weathered a storm so brutal only three months in. Jordan lost her six year old daughter in a tragic accident. While most love stories have great peaks and valleys, it's hard to imagine what theirs would be without the lowest valley that a person could face; through immense heartache and trauma they stuck together and have chosen each other and their future every day.

From the moment they got engaged, they told many people to not be surprised if they eloped and told everyone after the fact - then have a big party to celebrate with everyone. And that's exactly what they did: in October of 2024 in their dining room on what turned out to be the most beautiful fall day that they could have asked for, they exchanged very simple vows witnessed by a group of close friends.

Now it's time to celebrate with everyone; Jordan and Eliot will exchange personal vows and participate in a unity candle ceremony. Afterwards there'll be food, games, laughter and joy to be shared with everyone who can make it.
