Our story began as the world was shut down in the midst of the 2020 pandemic. It started with a rather unenthused "hey" from Joey on Hinge, leaving Julie questioning if she should even respond. Luckily, she did and the two of them finally shared their first date a month later on a picnic. Despite a wonderful first date, Julie debated whether she should even go on the second date, devitalized from the dating scene in Chicago as a whole.

In spite of her indifference, their dynamic changed on that second date and soon Joey and Julie found themselves inseparable. As one can imagine, dating during a pandemic varies vastly from the typical. Julie and Joey were put to the test quickly, with most date nights consisting of take-out and pajamas, entertained almost solely by one another's company. It didn't take long for a growing love and bond to blossom that was so palpable everyone around them couldn't help but notice it too. 4 years later and it only gets better!
