Some love stories start in coffee shops, some in college—ours started in the middle of the ocean.

We met on a cruise to Mexico on the very last day of the trip. Just when we thought our vacation was coming to an end, life had other plans. From the moment we started talking, something just felt right, like we had known each other forever. That day, we spent hours together, laughing, talking, and making memories. It also happened to be Atilua's birthday, which made it even more special.

But what made that day even more meaningful was that it gave Karlee the chance to meet Atilua’s family, including his dad. In just that short time, she got to see where Ati got his kindness, his strength, and his sense of humor. We will always be grateful for that moment—the laughter, the love, and the memories that now mean more than we ever could have imagined.

As if fate had been waiting for the perfect moment, our journey together didn’t end when the ship docked. What started as a chance meeting quickly turned into late-night calls, road trips, and realizing we had found something rare—love that felt easy, exciting, and meant to be.

Since then, we’ve shared so many unforgettable moments. From spontaneous adventures to lazy Sundays, from cheering each other on through life’s challenges to laughing until we cry, we’ve built a life together that we wouldn’t trade for the world. Of course, we still struggle to decide where to eat (seriously, it’s a whole process), but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
