What time does the ceremony begin and what time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin promptly at five o'clock in the evening. Please arrive at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 338 West Washington Street in Greenville, South Carolina between 4:30 and 4:45PM. Please do not enter the church before 4:30PM.
Where is the ceremony?
St. Mary's Catholic Church is located at 338 West Washington Street in Greenville. GPS directions to St. Mary's will take you to the church office, located at 111 Hampton Avenue. If you arrive at the address on Hampton Avenue, drive around the block and park at the church on West Washington Street. You may park on Hampton Ave if you like, but then you must walk across campus to get to the church. We recommend using the address on West Washington St.
Where should I park for the ceremony?
St. Mary's has dedicated parking to the left of the church, as well as street parking on West Washington Street. Additional parking can be accessed from Hampton Avenue, which is the other side of the campus.
Where should I park for the reception?
Our reception will be located at the Westin Poinsett Hotel at 120 South Main Street in downtown Greenville, in close proximity to the church. The hotel provides a valet service for guests, the rate is $15 for the evening or $20 for overnight. The Poinsett Garage is located directly behind the hotel and is available for the city parking fee. There are numerous parking garages within walking distance of the hotel: River Street, Broad Street, Richardson Street, South Spring Street, as well as street parking.
Will there be any transportation available to and from the ceremony and reception?
Yes! Before the ceremony, starting at 4:20PM, a trolley will be available for guests to ride from the Westin Poinsett to the church as needed. The last load to the church will leave around 4:45PM. The trolley also can take guests to the reception immediately following the ceremony. **The trolley will not bring guests back to the church after the reception.** Park at or near the Westin Poinsett, then walk to meet the trolley right outside the Westin if you'd like to be near your car at the end of the night. We recommend meeting the trolley at the Westin prior to the ceremony if you are staying downtown. You can absolutely leave your car at the church during the reception, but you will have to find your way back to it at the end of the night!
Are children welcome?
Yes! Please bring your children, we'd love for you and your family to celebrate with us!
Are there accommodations for small children?
Yes, if you need it, there is a cry room complete with piped in sound available in the back of the church. You won't miss a beat!
How close is the reception venue to the church?
Our reception begins at six o'clock in the evening immediately following the ceremony at the Westin Poinsett Hotel. The Westin is less than half a mile from St. Mary's. If you're up for a stroll, you can leave your car at St. Mary's and walk to our reception!
