If you are flying, we recommend flying into Denver International Airport (DIA) and driving to Crested Butte. By driving, you can see some magical Colorado sights. We recommend taking Cottonwood Pass!
Alternatively, Gunnison airport or Montrose airport may provide some options.
What is Colorado Like in June?
Colorado weather is unpredictable and can change quickly! While it may be mid-summer and swimsuit weather somewhere, the mountains do not care. Daily high temperatures in June for Crested Butte range from 62-72 degrees, but can drop to 40 or below at night. Occasionally, there may be a thunderstorm that rolls in during afternoons. While we will have heaters at the reception, we recommend bringing an extra layer in case you get cold. We also recommend packing several layers to prepare for all that Colorado may throw at you while you are here.
What about altitute?
Colorado altitude is no joke and Crested Butte is located at nearly 9,000 ft above sea level. Altitude sickness is a real thing and can sneak up quickly. Drink LOTS of water and remember alcohol will affect you more at higher elevation.
Are Kids allowed?
Due to limited numbers, we hope you appreciate that children are only invited to wedding day events if named. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help or if you have any questions/concerns.
Although, we would love to have your kids join us at the welcome party on Friday, June 7.
If you are thinking of bringing kids to the weekend and need a babysitter for the wedding night, we recommend the following sitter service:

How do I get around once I am in crested butte?
CB is a pretty small town and most things are walkable. The town does have a free city shuttle service that makes stops all over town (including our wedding venue). It usually takes 15-20 minutes for it to make it around to all the stops. If you are feeling adventurous there are numerous options to rent bikes around town. For shuttle bus details: https://www.mtnexp.org/
Is there parking at the venue?
Parking is limited at the wedding venue. However, if you decide to drive and leave a vehicle at the venue overnight, all cars must be picked up by 7am the next morning. Please see the travel section for details on wedding day shuttle service.
Anything else I should expect for a small mountain town?
Generally the summer season can be slower in the mountains. Some restaurants may be closed for a month in the shoulder season or may have shorter hours. You should anticipate that most restaurants will close at 9pm. We recommend planning accordingly!
