Our Wedding

Before I met Spencer I wasn't sure where my life was headed. Unsure of what I wanted to do with it, what relationships were hurting or helping me, and definitely not sure who I was meant to be. We were both in weird spots in our lives, now that, I know is for sure. At the time the summer had just began and I was having as much fun as I possibly could. Going to music festivals with friends, going out when I was given the opportunity, and working in-between to support these activities. That was until Michael Summers posted on his snapchat one day at the pool. I had viewed this snap and low and behold he had this super cute friend of his with him. I swiped up and asked who he was, he said that was his best friend Spencer and I should meet him.Later that week they came in to The Cheesecake Factory where I was working and sat in my section. I served them beer before they went for a night out to a comedy club and finally met this Spencer guy for the first time. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit nervous. He came off as this super cool guy who had his stuff together and at the time I felt like the complete opposite. I later convinced Mike to give me his number as he convinced Spencer to get a job at The Cheesecake Factory where we worked. Spencer and I texted some and even hung out a few times as friends but he never seemed to get the hint that I had a crush on him (go figure, boys are dumb!) But he ended up getting the job at Cheesecake and Mike, Spencer, and I became the three best friends. It wasn't until we all went on a trip to Las Vegas for Mikes birthday that things got more serious (and he finally got the hint.) We both initially didn't want serious relationships but life has a funny way of happening. After that trip we were pretty much inseparable. We enjoyed the rest of that summer together and finally made it official at the end of that September. Since then we've been through a lot of great times but also very difficult times. He's my best friend and I wouldn't change a thing. As he would say "God bless the broken road that led me straight to you." Now I can safely say I have found myself through this relationship and all the soul searching we've done together. I know what I want for my future and I know that whatever God has in store for us will be amazing as long as we do it together. I love you Spencer Cox.

Her Version of Events

My life was in "Bachelor Mode". I had no intentions of getting into a relationship anytime soon. I had just started my own business and was working two jobs. I didn't have much free time, but the free time I had was spent at bars and playing recreational sports with my best friend, Mike. One day, I had taken a selfie with Mike out at a local bar that he later posted on his snapchat. Later that night, Mike started tapping on his phone and gave me a look and started laughing. He told me that a coworker of his had responded to the photo asking who I was. I started to ask about her. Mike said her name was Katie and that she was one of his favorite coworkers at the Cheesecake Factory. I had just applied to work there as well, so I thought it would be a good idea to meet this Katie. We began to scroll through her social media platforms and I was taken aback at how beautiful she was. I told Mike that he should introduce us ASAP. That's when we devised a plan... We had plans to go to a comedy show later that week, and figured we could go to Cheesecake Factory for some snacks and a few drinks before the show. We knew Katie would be working that night, so we sat in her section so Mike could introduce us. Me being a little nervous, I had a little (or "a lottle") liquid courage before we came to meet her. When Katie walked up to greet us and take our order, Mike introduced us. I nervously ordered and made small talk until it was time to leave. Once we closed our tab and got ready to leave, I told Katie she had beautiful eyes. She immediately rolled her eyes at the comment and walked away. I kicked myself and thought, "Welp, you blew that one". Mike thought so too. As a last ditch effort, I had asked Mike for Katie's number. To my surprise, Katie answered my texts and we began to talk more and more. After a night of two-stepping, I was enamored by Katie. We became good friends and started to hang out more and more in our free time. It was on a spur of the moment Vegas trip for Mike's birthday, I started to fall for this beautiful, smart, wild-hearted, goofball. Once we got back home, Katie and I were inseparable. We began our "Official" relationship in late September of 2021. Since then, Katie and I have been through so much. I never realized I could love someone so much. I can't wait to spend the rest of forever with this beautiful, wild-hearted, goofball. I love you MOST Kaitlin Saldivar!
