Delicious Dining Options:
Everyone will have time to choose what they want to do for dinner. Here is a list of some of our favorite places to eat!
BlackBand Distillery
Located in Peoria's Warehouse District (just down the street from The Warehouse on State). First on the list because it was our first date! It's still one of our favorite date nights and where Adam asked Kelly to marry him. Our favorite drink here is the dirty martini, extra dirty (you'll want to specify if you want more brine vs. vermouth depending on how you like). $$
Thyme Kitchen and Craft Bar
Right next door to the Warehouse on State. Huge fine spirit selection and yummy cocktails - like the Blackberry Bramble! Try the tots with the maple-chipotle sauce or Kelly's favorite salad: the FarmHouse Salad with chicken (and extra cheese, of course!). $$
Hearth Restaurant
Located in Peoria Heights. Nicer/Fancier wine bar and restaurant. Delicious food with unique specials, great wine selection, and excellent service. $$$
The Publik House
Also in Peoria Heights. Old world-style alehouse serving up draft brews, cocktails, & American eats in a relaxed atmosphere. You'll want to try the Parmesan Truffle or Bacon & Blue Fries! $$
The Twelve Bar Lounge
Also, also in Peoria Heights. The Twelve Bar Lounge offers incredible views of the city from our rooftop seating area. With handmade craft cocktail syrups created by their chefs and a special menu, you can experience great cuisine, great music, and a great atmosphere! $$
Sushigawa
One of the few Sushi joints here in town. Located by the Northwoods mall, a fun, intimate spot we enjoy with our friends. Reservations may be needed for groups (not a large restaurant). $$
There are tons more places to check out as well! Enjoy what Peoria has to offer!
Hand-crafted, unique drinks in a small, intimate atmosphere.
*We suggest you call ahead to make sure they aren't closed for a private party!
Grandview Drive is a drive and park that offers scenic views of the Illinois River while walking, biking, or hiking one of the many beautiful trails.
Grand View Drive is a meandering pleasure driveway constructed in 1903 and was coined the “world’s most beautiful drive" by President Theodore Roosevelt on a visit to Peoria in 1910. The drive offers visitors numerous panoramic scenic views of the Illinois River Valley and the chance to view many historic and remarkable homes lining it (like Soderstrom Castle!). The drive is especially beautiful in autumn, with the ever-changing colors of fall leaves.
The Peoria Zoo is located directly next to Luthy Botanical Gardens and is home to over 100 different animals from all over the world. Check out the giraffes in Africa - you can even feed them!
So many fun options – axe throwing, escape games, rage room, skeeball, pinballs, food and drink and more!
*We recommend booking ahead for axe throwing, rage room, and escape games but they do take walk-ins if staff and space are available.
