Kiara and Lexi matched as roommates on the DBU housing portal heading into their freshman year of college. They became instant best friends and have been connected at the hip since! You know they're best friends because they pushed their beds together to make a “mega bed” since they had "separation anxiety" from one another. Kiara is the definition of a steadfast friend. She is encouraging, loving, the first person to be excited for you, and will push you more to be like Christ! Everyone needs a Kiara in their lives!

Bruce and Travis have known each other for many years, getting mutually dragged to the symphony by their parents since they could remember. Bruce is a faithful man, which is evidenced by the way he loves and cares for those around him. Since his arrival from Nashville back to Dallas, Bruce and Travis have met regularly for breakfast and Bible study, and have enjoyed being in community!

Julia and Lexi became friends after joining the same sorority and living together at DBU! Lexi and Julia are almost identical in everything they like to do, including being up-and-coming "influencers!" Hangouts between these two look like sipping on wine, listening to Taylor Swift, and playing Mah-jongg! Julia is all things loving, kind, creative, and a dedicated friend! She has been the biggest help with wedding planning, and Lexi couldn’t imagine going through wedding season without her!

Matt and Travis have known each other since Matt’s freshman year and Travis’ junior years at SMU, first meeting to run together. 7 years later, the two have run 5 half marathons and a full marathon together in California and Texas and will soon add half marathon #6 to the tally after running in the February 2024 Cowtown Half-Marathon in Ft. Worth. Matt is intentional and a servant of the Lord; he pours into the people he surrounds himself with and takes time to pour into kids through his service with Young Life and the Ascent Men’s Mentorship Program. Matt is a great encourager and friend!

Avery is Lexi's little sister. A fantastic swimmer and fashionista extraordinaire, Lexi can always count on Avery for a laugh, and to stay up-to-date with the current trends. Avery likes to entertain the Quilty household by ideating her dream family vacations and dream homes. Avery will be missed as she heads to college, but Lexi is excited to watch her little sister grow up!

DJ and Travis have known each other since Travis began his membership with the DSOL Honor Guard in 2018. The two struck up a friendship, which evolved into Travis living with DJ at his house for a month post college and then as roommates in their own apartment for a year and a half. DJ is a passionate friend, both in his eagerness to encourage and love those around him. DJ and Travis meet consistently and Travis appreciates the wisdom he is able to receive from him!

Alex and Lexi are high school best friends, and their friendship has only grown deeper over the years! They are commonly referred to as the “Alexandras” as the share a first name, which they will argue is the best first name out there. Lexi can always count on Alex for a laugh. Their time together is spent trying (but usually failing) to cook new meals, walking Alex’s dog, hiking, sunrise Bible studies, and taking Alex to/ from the airport when she comes to visit. Alex is the best friend and prayer warrior one can ask for, and her joy and energy light up every room she’s in!

Worth and Travis met at an Echelon DFW happy hour in February 2020 right before COVID. Since their meeting, the two have shared many a golf outing (Worth being a scratch golfer imparting several playing tips to Travis) and enjoying fellowship together through the DSOL Honor Guard and many other social outlets in Dallas. Worth is caring and, as well, extremely intentional. His aim is to get to know you and ask questions to deeper the relationship between the two of you. His care for others naturally brings them in; everyone wants to be friends with Worth Blackman! Worth and Travis regularly meet weekly for Bible study and continue to dive into the Word together and enjoy friendship with one another.

Annie and Lexi met freshman year at DBU. They quickly became friends through rushing the same sorority and living as suitemates. Their friendship has taken them to Florida for vacation a couple of times, and now visiting each other in Dallas and Boerne. Annie and Lexi can be found grabbing a coffee, shopping, sharing a blanket with one another, and being caddies for their significant others! Annie is the definition of love!! She has the biggest heart and shares that through encouraging Lexi, and helping her plan every celebration imaginable. There was no doubt that Annie would be standing next to Lexi on her big day, the two are like twins!

David and Travis met right when the two got to campus at SMU in 2015. They shared experiences from painting their full bodies up for Mustang 11 for every home SMU football game freshman year, to freshman year small group, then as fraternity brothers in BYX together. Now, post-college, the two have led a Bible study through PCPC with boys starting when they were in 5th grad, which are now in 9th grade. A lover of Pluckers and the 49ers, David is a wise man, evident by the way he engages in conversation with one another as well as with his closest friends. David and Travis meet weekly to lead the 9th grade pcpc Bible study as well as encourage one another. You want to be friends with David Hoffmann!

Katelyn started out as Lexi’s “auntie” in their sorority, Delta Theta. The two didn’t become close friends until serving on the same “SWAT” team and leading incoming freshman to DBU. Katelyn and Lexi love going on walks, trying out new workout classes, and doing their Bible study together! They have even been called “sisters” with how much they resemble one another. No one is as intentional and caring as Katelyn. The world needs more people like her, and Lexi is so lucky to have her as a friend!

Spencer and Travis met on campus at SMU and further deepened their relationship through their involvement with the DSOL Honor Guard. Since then, the two have shared leadership positions together with the Honor Guard. They have enjoyed many a night out and many a golf outing together, most recently at Pinehurst where Spencer challenged Travis to hit a shot three times on the finishing hole at course no. 1, with Travis successfully finishing that challenge. Spencer is joyful and encouraging, the first one to share an uplifting word and be with you through whatever battle you may be facing. Spencer and Travis also meet together weekly for Bible study, to which has been a tremendous encouragement for Travis.

Lexi and Libby have known each other since middle school, but didn’t become friends until college! They were roommates Lexi’s senior year, and that time was filled with many late night conversations, laughs, and dance parties to Taylor Swift. This friendship has been marked by the Lord’s hand and His timing. Libby is someone to watch out for if challenged to a game of Mah-jongg. Libby is a friend who brings laughter and light into every interaction.

Garrett and Travis met freshman year together at SMU through the ONE28 freshman small group and then deepened the relationship as fraternity brothers in BYX. Post-college, Garrett and Travis, along with David, shared being in community with one another and encouraging one another in scripture, prayer and fellowship. A fantastic swimmer, Garrett is steadfast, both in his relationships and in his personal life, eager to push and encourage others to Christ. Garrett loves well and has been a huge encouragement to Travis, especially in his walk with the Lord.

Kennedy and Lexi also met in middle school, but didn’t start their friendship until college. The two lived together Lexi’s senior year of college in which so many memories were made! Kennedy is a friend who is always in your corner, ready to support you and build you up. Kennedy is best know for her contagious laugh, her proficiency in Spanish (which is needed more than you think), and crazy ideas which lead to the most memorable moments. Lexi is so thankful for this sweet friendship with Kennedy!

Hunter and Travis met at SMU and were involved in SMU Reformed University Fellowship as well as fraternity brothers in BYX together! Post-college, Hunter and Travis serve with the PCPC High School Ministry and have spent many an afternoon playing sand volleyball and even completing running a 5k every hour challenge! Hunter is wise and has a great sense of humor, quick to cheer you up and uplift! Hunter and Travis meet regularly for fellowship and encouragement and Travis is very grateful for their friendship together!

Claire is Lexi’s soon-to-be sister-in-law! Claire is loving, wise, the best big sister to Travis, and caring to all those she interacts with. Lexi has prayed for an older sister, and Claire has answered that prayer! She has been nothing but kind and supportive of Lexi. Claire’s love for the Lord and those around her speaks volumes of her character. Lexi is thankful for this growing friendship with Claire, and cannot wait for the two to be family!

Spencer and Travis met together through Travis’ first year with the DSOL Honor Guard. Since connecting, the two have gone on many adventures. Spencer holds his private pilot’s license and has taken Travis and numerous friends up several times, including day trips to Stephenville, Texas for some great BBQ. The many adventures also include a highlight trip to Spencer’s family home in an unknown location in Maine to golf and enjoy Fourth of July 2022. Originally from Canada, Spencer is always up for a good time, the first one to hype up the friend group and is extremely loyal, there when you need him. You want to have Spencer Fontein in your life!
