What began as a welcoming handshake between two volunteers at a youth summer camp has led to the forever joining of two lives. She was a shy girl with a big personality and he was a tough guy with a soft heart. Her name was Lucy, which means “bringer of light”, and his name was Cole, which is not as cool.

He didn’t know it yet but the little blonde-headed girl would be the conduit that God would use to change his entire life. She didn’t know it yet but the brown-eyed boy would be the one who finally got her out of her shell. Many hours of watching planes and deep conversations would ensue. Naturally, this led to many dreams about the future. Those dreams became one step closer to reality one fateful October afternoon.

Like all things worth cherishing, there have been many highs and many lows. One thing that is guaranteed is that there is sure to be more of both. But as sure as the world goes around, there is no other place they would rather be than with each other. What a day it will be when on their second anniversary as a couple, Cole and Lucy will see their forever dreams come true.
