Stone Arch Bridge goes from St. Anthony Main (very cute area with tons of great restaurants) to Downtown Minneapolis with an iconic view of Downtown Minneapolis as you cross the bridge. There is also a Farmers Market held on the Downtown side (Mill City Farmers Market) of the bridge on Saturdays. There are some planned bridge repairs, so you may not be able to fully walk across.
The iconic spoon and cherry sculpture is located here as well as the giant blue rooster and LOVE sculpture! This is right in front of the Walker Art museum and close-by the Minneapolis Farmers Market.
If you’ve got some extra time on Saturday or Sunday, it’s opening weekend at the Minnesota State Fair! Megan’s favorite State Fair food is the Corn (super fresh and delicious!) and Derek’s favorite thing is viewing the flowers in the Horticulture building.
As a wedding guest, you’ll have admission to the Arboretum for all of Saturday, the 24th. Explore the many trails and gardens of the Arboretum before the ceremony begins (1,200 acres!).
