It all began with an intense gaze.

Jesse and Megan were brought together through mutual friends, as Megan's sister Heather was in a relationship with Jesse's friend James. In 2018, during a visit to Heather's home, Megan unexpectedly encountered Jesse, who was also present. Jesse noted that he found Megan to be somewhat unusual, particularly drawn to her intense gaze during their first informal meeting. Conversely, Megan was captivated by Jesse's youthful looks; despite his height, she struggled to divert her attention from him. This very gaze sparked a connection that eventually developed into a romantic relationship, leading to their marriage.

Their first official meeting occurred at a swimming pool, where Jesse was a guest alongside Heather and James. However, significant progress in their relationship did not take place until October 2018, when a group of eight, including the main individuals, attended a concert for James's proposal to Heather. It was rumored that Megan planned to kiss Jesse at this event; instead, they shared their first experience of holding hands. Following this occasion, Jesse and Megan began to spend time together in Megan's car parked outside Jesse's father's house, engaging in lengthy conversations that often extended into the early morning hours. It was during these moments that they shared their first kiss. Additionally, Megan baked a birthday cake for Jesse to celebrate his birthday that year. This routine continued until Jesse and Megan unofficially moved in with Heather and James.

They welcomed the New Year together in 2019, sharing their first kiss of the year. On the eve of Valentine's Day in 2019, Jesse declared his love for Megan by saying "I love you" for the first time. Although he later claimed he did not mean it, it became clear that his nerves had simply overwhelmed him. As Jesse stepped out of Megan's car to enter his home, he casually expressed those three significant words. Throughout her drive home, Megan found herself lost in thought.

In February 2019, Jesse expressed his interest in pursuing a romantic relationship with Megan; however, she was preparing for a three-month trip to Germany to visit her brother. On May 27, 2019, Jesse formally asked Megan to be his girlfriend. The couple took a significant step forward on December 2, 2021, when they moved into their first home together, where they lovingly cared for several cats.

Throughout their relationship, they faced various challenges and celebrated numerous successes, yet they remained steadfast in their commitment to one another, continually inspiring each other to grow both individually and as partners. In October 2024, they enjoyed their first vacation together without any companions. Later, on November 30, 2024, during a Thanksgiving celebration at Megan's brother's residence, they became engaged.

Jesse's initial perception of Megan was that she appeared to be eccentric, endearing, and pleasant. However, their interaction was limited as they were both at the pool and did not engage in conversation.

Megan's initial impression of Jesse was reminiscent of her high school days, evoking the feelings associated with a youthful infatuation. She felt an undeniable urge to become acquainted with him.
