We are beyond excited to have you join us for our special day. If you are wondering how Dan and Mel ended up engaged, you can join us on this little trip down memory lane...!

Our story began many years ago when Mel joined Voices Choir in Derby, a decision that has ultimately shaped Mel and Dan’s lives to this day! Little did Mel know that the decision to join Voices would lead her to walking down the aisle in 2024!

It was the first time she met the Miller family and the time in Voices created incredible memories of concerts, trips, tours, singing joy and friendships that endure to this day.

Fast forward to 2016, and Dan found himself living in London, with time to create a new choir. After reaching out to former Voices singers living in London - including Mel! - Singularity Choir was born! We began regular rehearsals together and a spark was formed…

But it wasn’t until 31st December 2017, when choir member Lauren threw a New Year's Eve party, that the love story began! The NYE party sparked a romance which, over the next few years, unfolded to include holidays together to Copenhagen, Barcelona, Dubai, and regular walking holidays in our favourite spot in the UK - Keswick! We made SO many fond memories hiking the hills of the Lakes and sharing a joy for the outdoors.

When the world paused in March 2020, we faced lockdown together in Chiswick, which - despite ridiculous attempts to work from home in adjacent rooms (think: singing backdrops to power tools meetings!) brought us closer to together. We decided to move in together to our first home in Kingston in October 2020.

The crescendo of our tale arrives in August 2021 when Ziggy entered our lives - our fluffy bundle of chaos, cuddles and joy!

And then, during a summer holiday in 2023, Dan proposed atop a secluded hill overlooking Grasmere, in one of our favourite spots in the Lakes. It was a beautiful memory that both of us will forever treasure!
