Our first date lead to multiple miles put on traveling back and forth to Nebraska and Kansas to only see each other on weekends. That lasted about two years before I made the decision to move in with John in Kansas. From there, the rest is history!
 
We planned our second vacation together to Florida in August. Our first stop was Nashville again! John's sister Marrisa, husband Matthew and daughter Mallory joined us there. Little did I know he had asked them to join us because he had a proposal planned for several months. When we arrived at the Grand Ole Opry we took a photo opportunity. I should of known something was up when John asked his sister will you take a picture of Mikaela and I? I'm always the one that has to beg for pictures! Sure enough we're cheesing for a picture and he pulls away, gets on one knee and asks me to spend forever with him. Don't ask me what he said because I don't remember. I just remember him stuttering through it and myself being super shocked! Of course I said YES.
 
Nashville will always hold a special place in our hearts!
 
We chose August 3rd as our wedding date because we went on our first date on August 4th, started dating on the 23rd and got engaged on the 2nd. Adding in marriage on the 3rd means we'll have 2, 3, 4, & 23.
 
We can't wait for this next chapter of our lives!
