Once upon a time, in the little town of Lakewood, Danny Jacobs and Patricia Gonzi embarked on a journey that would change their lives forever. It all began in 2015 when they first connected online, sparking a captivating conversation that made Patricia eager to meet Danny in person.

Their first date was at a little Irish pub called Deagan’s. They dined together, sharing laughter and stories while getting to know each other. Danny thought she looked beautiful in person. The evening continued as they engaged in a friendly game of pool; a competitive spark was ignited between them that still burns today when they play games like Uno, Sorry, or the occasional game of Pickle Ball. After their date, they exchanged text messages in the following days. Still, Danny couldn't help but feel uncertain about Patricia's interest in him, causing their conversations to ultimately stop.

Meanwhile, Patricia found solace in the company of a furry companion, Mr. Brutus Bronston, lovely named by Patricia’s nieces. This courageous, precocious dog had been rescued by Patricia from the clutches of an evil, dog-kicking Amish family. Brutus filled Patricia's heart with love and diverted her attention from the disappointment of her faded connection with Danny.

Time passed, and the world witnessed the heart-wrenching loss of the Cleveland Indians in the World Series, leaving Danny melancholy during the dark, gloomy following months. However, hope for the future within him rekindled in 2017 when Patricia and Danny serendipitously reconnected. Eager to reconnect, they arranged a date at the Map Room on West 9th Street.

During their date at Map Room, they indulged in pizza and caught up on the moments they had missed in each other's lives. On this night, they shared their first kiss, a tender moment that showed them they liked each other. Danny would then come to learn that she liked him the first time they went out, it was just his maroon sweater he wore on their first date that she hated. To this day, the two have vigorous debates over whether the sweater looked good or not.

In the following months, Danny and Patricia went on several dates. One memorable occasion was when Patricia brought Brutus to Danny's apartment for the first time. It's there where Danny met Brutus, and it foreshadowed what Danny's future life with him was going to be like after he pooped right in his apartment. After a couple months of dating, life's unpredictable twists and turns led Patricia to move back to her hometown of Cuyahoga Falls, causing their paths to diverge away from each other once again.

But fate works in mysterious ways, and a few years later, in February 2020, Patricia and Danny found themselves crossing paths once more. This time, their reunion took place once again at Map Room. Danny, filled with regret for losing touch with Patricia, wholeheartedly apologized. Graciously accepting his apology, Patricia opened her heart to him again, and the serious relationship finally blossomed.

Little did they know that just a couple of weeks later, the world would come to a standstill due to the unforeseen arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the face of uncertainty and liberty-stealing lockdowns, Patricia and Danny found solace in each other's presence. They became pillars of strength for one another, helping each other navigate the challenges of what should have been one of the most challenging and worst years of each of their lives. Instead, because they had each other, it became one of their best.

Through thick and thin, Danny and Patricia remained inseparable, supporting each other through tragedy, work hardships, and the ups and downs of life. And through it all, alongside them, was, of course, what became "their" dog, Brutus, who became an integral part of Danny's life, too.

Their love story continued to unfold, leading them to decide to move in together and embark on the exciting adventure of buying their first home in 2022. After a wonderful first year of living together, Danny finally mustered the courage to take a leap of faith and propose to Patricia on Christmas Day in 2023.

As Danny and Patricia look forward to the next chapter of their extraordinary journey, they are thrilled to share their joy and celebrate their love with their cherished family and friends on their special day. Their wedding will mark a new beginning, a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the beautiful connection that started with a simple online conversation and blossomed into a lifelong partnership filled with endless love and happiness.
